Damn Kay was moving, very impressive. Really hope he can get a good start. And Jeffrey looks effortles on the honda, it looks he can drop his best time with a second a lap at any time if he wants

That quali race, KDW, Jesus fuck. His pass on Fernandez? Like 70 was standing still 😂

If you haven't seen what proper sand riding looks like, that's the race to watch.

Sorry but you totally can't compare SX and sand riding not even close, indeed riding SX is al about timing and throttle control.

Sand riding is just totally different from this thats almost all about technic and staying on the throttle.

In this case it just a "riding/technic" fault by Lucas he's leaning to much forward before hitting the inside bump witch cause's the bike to dive and can't compensate it anymore, its a bummer but those things happen even with the best remember Herlings getting injured some years ago in Arnhem during time practice or something i think it was close to the same what happend to Lucas there...

A I said - it  Is a Bizarre comparison.

And, as I said, it's X 10 - or, x 100.

I love / hate Sand Riding, having done So Much of it - it's so bloody technical, while Also being so Bloody Ballistic!

And - this Will upset so many here - I put Sand Riding / MX, far, Far above SX - while recognizing it's difficulties and dangers, at the same time.

Why's Garcia in EMX250 riding like a clown? He's won the title, so why risk injury by playing 'cat and mouse' with Skovberg?

I get what you where trying to say but as i said SX and sand riding can't be compared as they are just way to different.

But you are completly right that sand riding is way more difficult then riding SX, riding SX is indeed way more dangerous as it is much less forgiving but it can be learned quit fast where sand riding is something you almost have to grow up in to be really good and it is something you have to practice minimum once a month to stay good in it. Also sand riding has so many different levels on its own like riding a sand track like Valkenswaard or Lommel are 2 different type's of riding sand let alone beach racing or riding a track like Loon Plage its all "sand riding" but none are the same...

Yes, it makes no sense. Skovbjerg won with his clean racing and called it out in the interview. Thankfully justice was rightly served.

I know what you are saying.

By the way, I've ridden at Lommel, Valkenswaard, Leirop, and a Fair Few more Sand ( and other, completely different ) tracks- just as a practice day / tourist rider, years ago. I've travelled a Lot.

First ever ride on a KTM350, was at Kegums ( which was far sandier at the time than it is now) in, I think, 2012. And it was a rather 'special' KTM350 - well above my riding grade!

Now, I can just 'putt' around, but still get to ride at a mates compound, that has bottomless River Sand as Just One of it's tracks. That's a bit 'hairy' when you are a, largely, 'sit down rider", timing the first wave to get to standing through a Sand Whoop section!

I'm a bit of a Full On Sook, at the moment : I was supposed to be at the GP this weekend, then to get to the World MTB Champs at Val Di Sol - for a paying job. Which I needed the money from. Could have gone to "Lez Getz" this weekend , for more money made, but I wanted to get to at least one GP, this year, as I can't get to Darwin in September. And, I've been to 'The Lez', enough.

As it is, I'm sitting in my workshop, waiting for a neighbour to come over, to straightn me up in my recliner chair, put some socks on my feet, and put a warmer jumper on me . Back injuries Suck - especially after you've just had a operation, that was Supposed to improve it! 🥵

I just saw Lotte reach around to her lower back, after she crossed the line for her 2 out of 2 wins. Hope she's OK.

Well, that was beauty!

Boomslang's compatriot, Cam McLlelan (sp?) is on it.

Stalking, then pressuring Sacha, Sacha, unfortunately, pranging, and Cam getting the win. I think, even if Sacha didn't prang, that Big Sef Efrican, was going to get the win.

Farres is hanging in there, but Sacha is going to be hard to best, at the end.

Though, I'd love to see Triumph get a World Championships  - nothing against Sacha / KTM, but another brand getting on the 'boards', would be a good thing, I reckon.

Big Bikes in a few minutes.

Should be Good.

This is my favorite track on the circuit.
Very raceable. Can make passes.
Endurance, line selection, timing to hop over or drive through bumps, pre jumping sometimes, sometimes jumping long. Super interesting to watch.

Herlings riding on the edge is not necessary. He is putting his championship points lead at risk, nevertheles, it's great to see these two go head to head.

Oh man, with a fit Lucas this would've been such a cool threeway-battle.

Thats was weird. Did Herlings back brake seize up, he had the clutch pulled in and the wheel was still locked. He jumped off and was stomping on the brake pedal..strange.

Gifting had a really hard hit, looks like he hurt his ribs

Herlings vs De Wolf was a wet dream for every Dutch fan!

Bloody Hell - a few corners from the finish, and Herlings stops!

Gets off the bike, Whacked the back brake lever a few times to unjam (?) it, and just  gets going to win.

And that's after a superb battle for much of the race between him and de Wolf!.

Bonacorsi, Vllanderan, Gifting and Febvre , plus I think a few others - pranged together in one of the first few corners - hence, even Febvre got lapped.

Fuggen Absolbloodylutely Awesome stuff!

PS - in a pre race interview between Lisa and Chase Sexton, he described Herlings as racing this track like a (BIG, I think he said) SX Track . That may convey a bit of what I meant, in my earlier posts.

Our Dutch announcer on track stated a few times this weekend that Herlings has a light switch on his front fender. If the light turns blue it means that the HRC Honda is heating too much and the bike is programmed to deliver less power to save the engine.

Not sure what happened on the last lap, he was kicking his rear break, so I think it was stuck
