Is there no market for plain riding gear?

Surely I can't be the only one sick of all this bedazzled bullshit. Been through almost all the manufacturers catalogues and I know there's obviously a market for stripes with stars and spots and more stripes on top of more spots and little squiggly bits but Jeezus. How about just one set of plain gear in each companies catologue for people like me that don't wanna walk around looking like Bobo the clown.

I still think AC's '06 Nations shirt was badass. Gutted we'll never see that azzurri shirt worn again at a MXoN.

I like the simpler looking gear, but not quite that bland

I'm with you.

To people outside the industry, our riding "outfits" (I hate it when my wife calls it that), really do look like clown suits....(tucked in shirt, boots over the pants, etc)...that effect is magnified by all the crazy looking patterns.

We need some toned down riding gear....just good old fashioned, yet high quality, plain gear...that's all I'd buy. (I wish fox would make some of their 360 gear just plain...)

Basic gear with the classic look would be the new JT gear, in my opinion. I recently bought a few sets of the new MSR gear and it seems very well made and not to "wild" in design. Me being a Vet rider, I also am not into some of the aggressive looking gear. Good luck.

I really love the way they've turned MSR around I just wish they had some gear without all the horizontal or diagonal stripes.

Although I'm not a fan of Shift gear, I gotta admit, I do really like CR's gear.

MSR used to have some plain riding gear and now there is JT Racing thats semi old school.

I dig oneal gear. The only problem i have with them is the adjustment around the waist.

I was looking for some new gear as well, but didn't want the busy, flashy shit.
I like some of the Fox gear, (pictured above), as well as JT. But most of it sucks. imo
Reeds gear looks cool too.

No! And Cairoli only wore that stuff because the Federation made him.

Maybe it's just me, but the gear i choose has a lot to do with being able to be seen in a pack of riders. My girlfriend always got scared off the start with a group of 40 bikes all tearing into the first corner, she likes my bright purple fly gear this year cos she can usually pick me out pretty quickly and it puts her mind at rest that im not the guy at the bottom of the pile.

That's the same reason i wear a helmet with a bright colour or with a lot of white in it, it's always easy to pick out pretty quickly.

And personally i like that shift faction stuff, i'd happily wear it, so lock me up i guess.

Pyjamas for 10 year olds thats what they are . You stop wearing em when your balls drop and you start to think about having sex with girls. The spiderman duvet goes about the same time
