I'm old and I have a truck, so I'm an old truck guy, but I know not the answer you are looking for. 🤣

It was “Dads baby”, he died and the kids don’t want it. Not much other details. I told him if the engine and underneath look like the rest, no rust, no blue smoke, no puddles, radiator new etc, no dangling ancient looking wires etc, Says clean title, runs good. Be a fun moto or beach truck if nothing else.

Anyone who knows it’s a good deal wouldn’t tell you so they can poach it! 😆

I’ve dealt with that asking about a couple old fords.

It really all comes down to how much money you are willing to spend.  If it's a good runner and the rest of the truck is in as good a shape as what we can see and you really want a vintage truck with all that come with it (bad mileage,  slow, clunky) then that's not a bad price.  If you've got the loot that's a good starting point for a restomod.  It looks like there have been some updates which might make it a really good buy.

Lol He drove by and was all enthused, then I brought up the reality of owning a 64 year old truck and he changed his mind on the way home. Dad = Buzzkill lol.

I saw a street legal Suzuki TS400 at a garage sale today, first thought was "I want it !"   that lasted until the end of the block lol.  Seems like a neat truck but he's got enough going on right now. The phone #'s on there if anyones interested 😛

Could be the deal or headache of a lifetime lol.  I wasn't bummed when he decided to let it go. Reminding him that he could get a new 450 for the same $ probably helped. 😄

Watch our luck someone will buy it and sell it for 35K 2 months from now 😄😄

That truck would probably sell for 15-19k fast around here. 4-5 yr old new pu,s r rusty already. I had a ts250 Suzuki enduro in the 80,s.  The farmer I worked for as a kid. A pack of his buddies stopped out. They all had cool enduros 1 had a dt400 . They looped it out in a hay field. Lol

If it runs decently, it’s a good deal, especially if there’s minimal rust.  Just like bikes, you can buy them after someone else has done the work for way less than you can build one yourself.

I remember almost everything about that truck. From the passenger seat when I was 8. All trucks of that vintage rusted out decades ago in the Upper Midwest.

Its not a horrible deal if its in good running order.  Id throw the wheels in the trash and put some rallys nice dish wheels on it.  Other than that looks good.

I think it's a pretty good deal, as like profesh stated, going for more here in So. OR and in much worst shape.  I got my Dad's old '64 when I was 17 yo and it was my surf wagon.  Loved it!  Biggest mistake was during the gas crisis (late '70's) I traded it in for a Ford Courier (rebranded Mazda small p/u).  What a piece of sh*t.  A frisbee dented the side of the door, while with the old Chevy we would walk up the hood and put our chairs on the shell and watch CanAm cars race at Riverside : )

Everyone has one. Unless it’s got a LS 3 motor and auto at least it will cost you that much to make a highway driver. Unless backroad cruising is your thing.

But an estate sale with kids that have no interest I’m sure the price is very negotiable

If that was a thousand miles closer, I'd be dealing on it.

I'm not really an "old car" guy, but I am definitely not a "rolling iphone that spies on me while I drive" guy, either. I think I'm done buying new cars.

I'm basically a caveman that can read and write, albeit poorly.  Electric windows and cruise control are all the technology I want in a vehicle.

Of course, it has to have a decent stereo as well.  😉

Looks like windshield wipers could use some help.

Best thing is, nobody has done the criminal modification of cutting out the small rear window, for the bigger one on later trucks.

Had two trucks that I wish I had never sold.

63 chevy, long bed fleetside.

And my favorite, a butt ass ugly 63 GMC long bed stepsidr, that someone painted flat white, probably with a sock.

Had that big V6 engine, four speed on the column, and and stump pulling torque.

Like this, only white...

They told my son they were "getting offers" when he called and was showing interest. He got over it. A week later they called him back and said they'd take 10K...  Not sure what the bottom or under the hood looked like.

It's down near you. You could call and see if it's still available.
