Kind of hard to start the next race on time. I liked when they would use the over/under bridge to go over the starting box, but they spread out the gates to make room.
Coincidentally, I just watched the 2004 US Open and they jump over the gate. Check the gritty LCQ performance from Ryan Clark.
Unfortunately, that US Open start line looks like dirt (great pull, Willy!) but this track will require jumping over metal grates as well as the gates. How will those gates and the dirt right beyond them look after a moto? And will they get prepped before the start? Should be interesting!!!!!

Didn’t think about the grates. That does really add an interesting wrinkle to the idea of running the track back over the gate.
Yeah, the first thing that I thought of was that side of the start straight is now the main line of the track and that dirt could be drastically different than the other side of the gate. Dried out, compacted, torn up and possibly acceleration chop... This could get interesting.
If someone crashes on that could get jacked up.
Also why are they moving away from hybrid tracks? The hybrid tracks were fun imo.

They’re going to roll out the Gator Pit and Flaming Hoop over the grates immediately after they start.
So a "wheels on the ground flag on that jump nets you a shit ton of guys having to channel their off-road root skills?

89 Atlanta I think it was they jumped over the starting gate.
If it was not Atlanta it was one of the first rounds of 89 before RJ broke his wrist @ Gainesville.
It’s not started yet and I’m all ready sick of the SMX and the constant evolving back to SX tracks.

Over/Under bridge costs too much to travel. It’s only used at San Diego and Anaheim nowadays.
Feld should incorporate some circus animals for these events. There’s a lot of down time. How cool would it be to go visit the elephants between motos?
