I was impressed to see JBS go up to Reed and shake his hand on the podium after his self proclaimed and well documented hatred for 22. My hat is off to you James for that, way to go!

Yes, I also thought it was real good thing to see.

If you watched the interviews after the race James kinda told it like it was, he never felt good there, never has,
was glad to get out with what he did and that he just didn't have anything for Reed that night.

Class act.

I never heard James say he hated Chad. In Racerhead Matthes said James told him that Chad and him were going to ride together this year. It would be funny to see them cruising around Orlando in James Lambo.

It was very cool to see that. Just proves to everyone that three quarters of the fans in this sport don't know shit.

It may have been the first time you'd seen it, but it's not the first time that they'd shaken hands on the podium

I don't believe it's any where as bad as some of you seem to think. These guys understand, and respect each other.

That was seriously cool! And to flat out admit Chad rode a hell of a race was also equally impressive.

I loved James' "Proud to be an American" statement after his heat race win. That was so random! lol

He has come a long way in the last year it seems, maybe a bit humbled from having to be away for so long and helped in the maturing process as well... Have a JS shirt someone got me for christmas a couple years back with tags still on it, refused to 'til now but am actually considering sporting the thing...

Only because the camera was on him! Wouldn't have happened otherwise.

Most hand shakes and high fives are never on camera so most people think they don't happen. If you are at the races you see it if you watch it on TV most of the time you don't but the sportsmanship IS there.

You don't know shit..James even wished Chad Happy New Year before A-1...their rivalry was intense...but time heals...they grow up and life goes on.
I dont recall JS ever saying he hates Reed.

In the interview I posted following the Oakland race, he said he and Reed are like friends now.

I don't want to question James because he seems to have matured quite a bit of late. But personally,I would wait till the guy is not being interviewed. He was obviously being filmed and it was Reeds time, not James'. If I was to choose that time to congratulate him it would be a good PR move for me but taking away focus from Reed. But anyway, congrats to Reed for the win and good on James for saying he had nothing for Reed that night(straight up beat). I'm sure James was relieved it was Reed on the top step instead of RV.Wink
