To his credit, Kitchen has ridden through the pack to a top 10 every time he’s gone down or lost the start. No telling if he could podium MX2 but I’d bet money he keeps it within the top 10 regardless of what happens. For that I think he should be the clear 250 pick.
I get what you’re saying & I agree with everything you say but what I will say is, you don’t want Levi coming through the pack at the Nations, racing against 450’s is a different game. You want him near the front not on the ground. I’m not saying his 1st lap incidents are his fault but he always seems to have an issue for whatever reason.
That would be absolutely unbelievable.... Van Vaanderen was the reason Herlings wasn't on the team last year
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Whatever we do, do not send Kitchen! His starts would be an all time liability.
DeStouwer: you can add Team Czech republic for France
I agree and said that multiple times prior to them picking Mike....my understanding is that choosing the team is not just Mike but multiple people
Yeah but Kawasaki.....
What does Marchbanks have to with George's shitty attitude last year?
If anyone said anything about anyone’s attitude, your post would make sense. As it happens, it doesn’t at all
Team USA should be:
Deegan MX1
Beaumer MX2
Marchbanks Open
If Kawi USA is still being weird about supporting it, extend Hampshire's Husky deal another couple weeks and let him ride.
Yes, Tomac, yadda yadda. GM and RJ have earned the opportunity, regardless of how Tomac finishes the season in my opinion.
Deegan won’t be there, stamp it.
We’re cooked.
Send Windham, Pastrana and Stew. We won’t win on the track, but we will win the hearts of all in attendance.
Eric Eggens?! How good!!
Don't think Kawi would support it, and please no Garrett, his starts aren't that good.
I’d definitely settle for RJ. I just don’t think RJ can make it thru a moto without hitting the deck. GM is more reliable.
France as Tom Vialle - doing better than Renaux. Febvre, Valin (they can use Grau also), Vialle will be the team
Any updates about Cas Valk? I'll guess he's almost race ready? It will be probably betweem him and Karssemakers for the MX2 bike?
Sending Valk when he’d be barely recovered would be a huge insult to Karssemakers, Walvoort and Doensen. Nothing personal against Valk, but no way will he be race ready
Pit Row
RJ's not available because he is switching teams....
Brazil:
34 Fábio Santos (Yamaha)
35 Salvador Pérez (Yamaha)
36 Enzo Lopes (Honda)
There was a lot more people talking about his shitty attitude than his shitty riding. Tough to separate because his shitty riding was due to his shitty attitude and shitty decisions. To clarify, "He's cruising around in 15th with one hand on the bars" is a comment about his attitude, not his riding.
Top 15 team IMO, shame that Tiburcio can’t ride
My only concern with that is Ernee is a tight track compared to the US tracks so I reckon if he did go down he would struggle to get through the pack
I have been a fan of the des nations since the early 80's, been to 3 of them around the world including Aus in 92. But knowing the best are not going to be there this year really has diminished the interest level.
It will be like the Commonwealth Games, a poor man's olympics.
I will wait for the YouTube highlights., it is really sad.
Team Belgium:
MXGP: Lucas Coenen
MX2: Sacha Coenen
OPEN: Liam Everts
Brent Van Doninck and Jago Geerts are reserve riders
It’s a solid pic providing both the coenans are back to full health. I’d maybe take bvd over Sacha simply for the fact I think he will override Ernee and crash his brains out! He has 3 crashes in today’s qualifying race
Still… beat Marchbanks though. 3rd best rider from the USA this year
Is J Coop even an option? I thought I remembered he was going to be unavailable for some reason, but maybe that was at the time when it looked like he was switching teams. Of course, how healthy will he be? Hampshire is out, Plessinger is out (team changes). Is Tomac up to speed, and willing to give it one last go? Deegan seems doubtful IMO based on how he has handled things the last couple of years.
And what 250 rider options do we have? Kawi is theoretically out, Hymas has not shown much until the last race or two, does that leave Beaumer or Defranceso? I feel like a realistic best case scenario is some combination of J Coop, Deegan, Tomac, Beaumer/ Defrancesco/Hymas.
Gonna be pretty wide open this year with the Lawrences out, but France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands should all be really good and I would not be surprised if any one of those teams pulled it off. A podium will be a good accomplishment for any country IMO
Every year ,It's the same old winning about Team USA ........ the solution is simple: just stay in america.....in the past, the mxdn really couldn't do without team usa-..... back when america was trudy the best motocross nation.....but times change.....Supercross money has made them lose their motorcross skills......; instead, they're become really good at riding the whoops...........it's also quitte .difficult.....😁😁😁✌✌✌
I agree….maybe every 4 years hold it in the USA & maybe we send a team…..
