In town for a wedding, Pala is 15 min away, would it be worth driving up in the morning to check it out?

Just to take a look, nothing else.

At the Harrah’s in Rincon.

haha i mean. Maybe. can't really see much. All the fast amateurs are at loretta's & all the pros are taking the the week off so it won't be poppin but if you're right up the road it never hurts to take a look.

Head to Pacific Beach and take in the scenery with a stroll down the boardwalk.

Even the worst National tracks are worth checking out, for an mx fan. A short 15 minute drive makes it a no brainer. Have fun!

The track is open tomorrow. It’s worth it to check out. I was in Colorado last month and went by thunder valley. I spent about 1/2hr riding my mtb around the property. I had fun.

Hit the wineries around Temecula. Have a good meal and catch a buzz.

If all you're looking for is a buzz, sure. If you're looking for good wine, not so much

Looks like I’ll be at Pala tomorrow with my son. We’ll be parked by the Kids Track. Stop by and say hi if you come by. IMG 4349 3.jpeg?VersionId=Jk

Pala might be the best it's ever been IMO. The layout is fun and the dirt has improved dramatically when prepped. Of course like all California tracks, it goes to shit later in the day.

I work in La Jolla frequently and have lived in Mission Beach (next to PCool .  I would say that the opposite is true.

The KTM test track isn't far away. It's cool to see, but there's probably nothing going on there since it's their SX track.

Great morning, saw Mitch, Tickle, Kitchen,

Harlan, and a lot of other fast guys.

Pretty cool track, but it’s no Cooperland haha.

Mr. Mentz, thanks for the hospitality, you have a great kiddo.

That's every SoCal track ever, especially in the summer months.

Shit, up where I am now it's a lack of rain that keeps tracks closed. Bizzarro world for this CA native.

Northern California native here, and it's not quite as extreme up here....but it's similar.

Glad the OP got to see some fast guys out there today, because the track alone isn't the greatest to look at.

Yeah especially in winter.  It kills me to drive past Glen Helen seeing bikes ripping.  I,ve been past it a lot .  I even pu a trl full of snowblowers in San Bernardino going to nj. On my birthday . I should’ve turned tracking  off & drove to check it out that day.  So Cal. People r cool too . If It wasn’t so expensive to live there , I,d move there.

Great meeting you Cameron!  I’m glad there was some fast guys for you to see. Jade Dungey & Grant Langston showed up with their family to ride the kids track just after you had to leave. Darn family functions getting in the way of a good time.  Look me up later in the year if you make it back out.
