We are, in fact, going to have a mudder in SD.

Unless the supercross Gods prove yet again that they love a dry race! Wink

If wet, who are you putting your $$$ on?

I'm sorry, but i'm going to say Trey or RV. Lites class, Tickle or Roczen.

I'd like to see Morias win, along with someone like Short! He gets to use his electric start on the track, right? That can be used to his advantage if really muddy.

Open stadiums suck! I hate muddy SX races. MX is fine though.
2/18/2011 12:23am
Gotta roll with Tickle in the lites. I think SX will end up being JS or RV, those 2 just seem to want it more than the other guys do when the danger factor goes up.

I've been to a couple of the mudders in Anaheim, nothing crazier than RC 2-feet off the pegs being the only dude doing the triple every lap

Lucky it's not in north or south Australia, the place would be flooded out lol. Melbourne this year has been like Darwin up north, the humidity has been terrible at times.

If the track is a mudder on race day then the start is going to be even more important then a dry track, this could be another good chance for Windham to win like last week. It's just so easy to throw it away if it's a bad mudder, so who knows.

If I was going for a title with a broken bone in my hand, I think I'd welcome a mud race. No whoop blitzing.

90% chance of precipitation for Saturday/Thunderstorms .
Hopefully they can still pull off a good live TV broadcast.....and not shorten the show,to so-call"save the track".

Also with it being a mud race ,you never know....
We might see some new names in the main. Wink
What if "The Swagger" makes the main lol....? Woohoo Laughing

Yeah...but longer time gripping on to the bike, possibly.
More flat landing stuff also...
More risk of having to put your hands out/down when you go down/slide out.

Reed is good in the mud also (he led Daytona in a bad mudder a few years back, til his bike blew up).
Stewart & RV should be interesting also.....
You would think RV should have some mud skills being from the NW.

Roczen should do well, same with Hanny.

SD doesn't really get muddy, It gets greasy and slick. It normally stays firm though.

I will have to go with Millsaps. He pulled out a win in the grease at SD last year.

Honestly, muddy or not, I think Stewie will throw it down and come away with a dominating win!

This is the answer i agree with. the top riders always rise to the top no matter if it rains or shines. But as you say anything can happen and has!

RV2 comes from the Pacific Northwest, doesn't get any muddier then that, I'll say RV.

Roczen will win his first SX in San Diego. My bookie is drunk right now and cannot give me square odds, but he has to be the safe bet for a mudder (Roczen, not my bookie..sorry for dangling my participle). Tongue

Mike Alessi tweeted that he was doing a press day today, so they might have just uncovered that so the guys could jump it.

Alessi was on the KUSI morning news here, but not riding. They had another goofy-ass reporter ride the 50...I can't find footage, but he didn't loop it out, so probably not worth searching for it.

Can't wait to what happens.

forget all the mud riders talk. the best will be up front like always. you can expect to see stew, rv, dung, reed, and tc still up there.
