Austrian Bike Cutting at Low RPM

I’ve got a 2024.5 Gasgas MC250 FE and the bike has cut when hard on the throttle at low rpm. It has happened since first ride. My Twisted remapped Vortex came in and that fixed the issue. Now then I’ve returned the bike to stock form to sell, the issue has returned. Below is the overview of things we have tried.

Issue: Bike cuts out when accelerating hard at low rpm.

First occurrence: 0 hrs - first ride

Fix attempts:

  • Swapped stock ECU and Entire Fuel Tank Assembly with working same model bike. My bike still had issues other bike did not show any issue.

  • Local dealer checked and adjusted TPS numbers. No fix

  • I installed a twisted development mapped vortex ecu. Fixed the issue.

  • When vortex ecu was removed and stock ecu put back on it now has the issue again.

KTMs want to put a new fuel pump in as a next attempt because the fuel psi numbers weren’t perfect, but wouldn’t switching tanks with the other bike solved that issue? Or is the fuel pump not in the tank?

    Anything helps thanks!

Swapped ECUs with other MC250F. My bike continued to cut the bike I put my ECU ran fine.

Was the other ECU updated with the new mapping?

One of my 350”s, the spark plug cavity filled with mud over time, went to change spark plug, turned into a long pain in ass cleaning, compressed air…bla bla bla…I keep plug cavity & weep hole clear now with compressed air…but I had a shop tell me they have replaced coils, plug wires & caps on Austrian bikes due to cutting out/misfire

The manual says to change plug and connector every 15 hours on my 250xc, and I think the four strokes are the same. I doubt anyone does that, but it must be there for a reason. Most manufacturers say to change the plug every 15 hours but not the wire.

Could be injector. Would try swapping that also. Reasonably quick.
