John Dowd was 30 or 31 when he won his 125cc SX championship. (98 West coast)

He's a legend.

And, Dowd's first major win came in the 250cc class.

Look,

The 250 class needs to stop being looked at as a "feeder" class. Look At Roczen's finish this weekend. back when the 125cc support class was brought into the show, there were no practice SX tracks and kids didn't have the resources they have now.

Save the argument, times are a changin'

Well then get rid of the east west shit and let all the boys play together.

Isn't 27 a little old for the lites class, so if he does not win it this year can he come back at 28 and compete in the lites again?

Let's get rid of the name lites and call it 250's and Happy Birthday Josh.

My cable tv company still refers to it as the 125 class in the listings. Even they won't call it the lites class. lol

Thats the problem with the 250 class full stop, no one can decide exactly how to categorise it and everyone seems to view it in a different way.

Good Idea, take away more jobs and team rides. Make the sport even smaller. Did momma tell you that too. I say Momma STFU.Laughing

Look, there simply are not enough classes. This is why we need a 125cc class, just like the old days when there were three classes. As long as we have two, guys are going to be flip flopping back and forth. More classes, more jobs and opportunities for racers and teams. WARNING: absolutely no thought what-so-ever was put into this post.

Happy Birthday Hansel!

Maybe instead of fishing, people should be happy he seems to be turning things around. He has great talent and has been fun to watch this year. I wasn't much of a fan in the past, but he is growing on me this year, especially after that last ride! I say happy b-day Hanny. Enjoy the day... just send the ladies home after a while so you can recover before Saturday night! Hahaha.

Lites is for guys killing time before turning pro, privateers, and guys who appreciate the comfort and security of racing tiny bikes.
Supercross is for actual pros.

There, I said it.
