RJ's biggest rival was Wardy. Yeah he punched Dogger, but he and Wardy had a longer, more heated rivalry.

Just had Lechien on the front of my brain as I had that discussion with RJ earlier this year at a race and he was telling me how much he hated Ron, but they are now good friends. This was after I told RJ that Ron was the poster on my wall, not him!

I keep hearing over and over that he'll get there. Who's to say that he isn't near his 100% and never gets close to the speed he needs to beat them? We've seen a lot of examples of riders everyone thought was the next "one" and never got more than a couple of wins over their life of racing the big class. I just don't personally see that he will get there. I think there is a higher probability, that to get there, he's going to wad it up more than not. Jmho
Deegs tbh has no rivalry. He’s just on his own out there.
Far enough behind the Lawrence’s to pose any threat. Is able to go by RJ and Prado relatively easy and get a gap.
Honestly, as I think more about it. Deegan is a rail the outside rider, and Prado is a point and shoot. So it may be interesting to see the 2 indoors, and see how maybe it could switch. Deegan getting beat by Prado indoors. Right now, you can watch Deegan rail Prado in multiple races. If Prado gets supercross down, it could get interesting.
Where was Hunta when he was 20yrs old? Oh yeah, he was not even in the top 10 in the 250 class. He finished 24th in SX and 13th in MX. Now look at him at 26yrs old, he’s arguably the best rider in the world right now. If you think Deegs is maxed out in his first 450 season then you’re just a hater or you’re smoking crack.
