Barcia - fun to watch or dangerous fool?

Yeah, I'm new here but I was on MotoNews a long time ago. I paid for the RacerX Gas in St Louis a couple times, fun!

I think rubbin's racing, but very early, it seemed like Barcia rode UNDER Dean Wilson. That's prettty crazy. I like watching the guy and I have no desire to watch ANY rider get hurt, but I am afraid his sometimes unnecessary aggressiveness will hurt him or somebody else.

I liked the way Dean Wilson handled the 'rough riding' question put to him by Erin. He didn't say "He's an idiot", he simply said he rode too rough. I would have been pretty angry, but he seemed very cool at that time.

Barcia is fun to watch. Of course riding with him may be different at least he is predictable and you know he will run it on you if you leave him an inch. Wilson is in a tough spot knowing Bam Bam will punt him without hesitation championship be dammed.

I have always been a fan. Up until last night, I thought his decision making was less than stellar. I read in Racerhead that Kehoe had a talk with him a while back.

Did I SAY I was faster than Barcia? I'm 52 and my sciatica is killing me. Lining up against Bam Bam is prolly not in my near future.

Good clean racing? LOL! Definitely kept me glued to the edge of my seat, both 250 and 450. I was worried about a Stewart runaway, so it was kinda what the doctor ordered, other than JT$ losing an ACL.

I love the wild child riding style as long as he doesn't cross the line and he didn't in Houston IMHO. Deano seems to me like he will try to keep it clean but I bet he can hand it out too if the antics keep up between the two of them.

I was at Houston - and Barcia was the best thing to happen all night. It's called heart and the desire to win at all cost. He had the entire crowd on their feet.

If that is wrong then I don't wanna be right. Thank you Barcia and Wilson.

A few years ago at Mini Os I watched that kid ride like a fool and play bumper cars all week long. then last year at Atlanta I watched him clean out a couple of guys IN PRACTICE and that was enough for me.

That kid is awesome!! I was like lucero10x, yelling at my tv like an idiot! There were lots of "Oooooohh shit" and "Oh my god"s echoing off my living room walls Sunday afternoon! That's why I watch sx, for excitement of hard racing! Barcia makes sx exciting, I wish dungey rode with the same desire to win! Dean-o and Barcia made Houston!

You heard it here first.... Barcia is going to ride aggressive all series and bang bars and nobody is going to go down. But I have a feeling at some point in this series Dean is going to try to ride to Barcia's level and cause a nasty crash.

I think Barcia can pull it off because he's been riding that way since he was in diapers... Deano is smooth and if he try's to race Barcia's race it could get ugly.

Justin is old school hard nose racing.....love it.

This is short series and Justin going at it with Wilson was no surprise.
Wilson had no problems dealing a little back, it was great.

One thing for sure after that opening round exchange.....
Every time Wilson is out front and Barcia is behind him Dean is going to be thinking about where Justin is.

I think that was kinda the whole point of SX in the first place.... the tight, bar bangin, racing. This is MX, you should be rubbin plastics. That was some great entertainment right there. How about the move Sipes put on Wharton? Now that was some bullshit.

i think what tyla rattray did to that troy lee rider in losangeles was dirty as hell. he definitly rode under him.


barcia on the other hand may be dirty, but its still within good taste. so, like hansen, i find him fun to watch.

The more I read this board the more convinced I am that RC would have been the most hated man in the history of MX if the first four or five years of his career had come in the "modern" internet era rather than when it did.

Have to be aggressive to be in the lead these days. It is just how it will always be. The link thingy is easy even though I had trouble the first time. Copy link, then hit the link icon above once, that is not going to add link the first time it just lets you put "Link HERE" or "click here" etc what ever you want. Then you hit Link again and paste link. Then it will work.
