My biggest gripe is they don’t leverage tech they have to help them call the race.
They could easily implement notifications for a new fastest lap or fastest segment time on the broadcast. This doesn’t require the announcers to say anything but helps tell the race story.
We used to get flashed lap times every few minutes. They’ve completely gone away from ever giving lap times in a race. They almost seem to intentionally hold stuff back and then Weege acts all surprised when a rider is clearly catching someone looking at the intervals.
I get some of the complaints. But, overall, it's live racing we get to watch...as it happens. I think that alone is frigging awesome. A lot of you guys would never have made it in the 80's and 90's without pissing in your pantries and whining. Back then, we waited weeks for an abreviated 30 minute broadcast of past races. You wanted live racing...go to the fkng race. What I am trying to convey it this...stop being whiney little bitches about live racing. Is it perfect?...nope. In the immortal words of Al Jourgenson...So what.
To the gentlemen with the old school mindset of suck it up, and be grateful. I get it, I was born in the 80's and went through the phases of having to wait for results. Here is the rub, that shit doesn't matter any longer. Time, and technology move forward. I myself am a traditionalist,I hated when they took the semis out of SX. But here we are, and in this day and age, with the tech we have. The production of our sport is a complete joke and ran by someone who doesn't have a clue of what really to showcase and change to make it a better experience. Your idea of just being happy is like the blue ribbon participation theory.
Speaking of traditionalist, RC and RV had a conversation about the need to shorten the motos to fit into a smaller TV window. That sounded like complete NBC BS. RC was all onboard, RV sounded a little pessimistic but didn't want to upset their NBC overlords.
Participation trophies...lol. Yeah boy...that's me. It just gets old with this constant fkng whining from people who never experienced anything but instant gratification. And the second that their juice box gets empty, they need someone to hand them another. Most of these complainers probably couldn't even fathom what it takes to put a live show together...just to have these people complain about whatever displeases them at the moment. Yeah...suck it up. Be fkng grateful sometimes. And, if you can't do either of those...shut your cake hole and go do a better job yourself.

True, you are paying for the Peacock channel...which includes MX/SX. I just feel that in the internet age, way too many people complain just to complain. So yes, no more complaining...about anything. Ever.
But, complaining about the complainers is fine. So...there's that.
I guess they could just put every riders number in a hat...let a monster girl pull them out and award trophies that way. Nobody gets injured, it's over in 5 minutes and they could just do it all from a studio somewhere. Hell, do the whole season in one 30 minute special. No more bitchin" about coverage, announcers, track.
Is it perfect...fuck no. Could it be better...of course. I swear...some folks would bitch if they hung "em with a new rope.🙃
