As others have mentioned, I’ve had similar experiences on a different corner of the color wheel. Been run off of job sites, mocked/laughed at at gas stations, refused service at restaurants.. also been treated like family by complete strangers who don’t look like me many, many times. It turns out, some people are just enormous assholes, and the skin color is irrelevant.

This post implies that it's his responsibility to fix shitty ass white people that are harassing him for no other reason than his skin color. NO person should have to live their life getting into a fight every other day to fix a problem because other people "don't give a fuck" that it exists. I am a Mexican American man, with a black wife. I’ve taken her all over the country on motocross trips. 95% of the time it’s nothing but great experiences and the moto community is great.
Unfortunately there are times where all I can do is shake my head and move on. Like last weekend at redbud? Group of guys were chanting “nig**r” trying to be funny, I’m not even sure who or what they were talking about. Or the time I was at a track and was asked if I was a legal citizen, um…yea?
And to the people saying “he should have gotten out the car and teach them a lesson” you do realize he would still be critized as a “violent black man who can’t control his emotions and gets triggered by word”… it’s a lose-lose situation.
At the end of the day, I do not believe this represents the sport as a whole. As a whole the moto community is one of the most down to earth friendly people you will meet. But you have to be able to call a spade a spade, and call out wrong actions.

Did you read your own words before you hit send? You're claiming he's the racist one? All he did was go for a fun night out that turned to shit because of some racist punks. And him telling his story is the appropriate thing to do. And the people here that I really thought better of are now proving how little they care. Instead of saying "ya that's really fucked up" they're upset he's telling about it. There's no fucking way him getting out of his car is going to turn into anything good. But the reactions (here, this board) to him telling his story just proves he's right. I can't believe how little empathy people have here.
