Future Concepts for outdoors
(1) 2 Day program - Friday & Saturday (worked at TV and Red Bud in '26)
(More income for tracks with Thursday - Friday camping. More income for MX Sports with additional classes.)

(2) Bring back 125cc All-Stars
(2a) Host more SMX future races
(3) Bring back Glen Helen to replace Pala
(4) Improve track signage.
(5) Do away with permanent numbers (only 4 numbers under #20 currently racing)
(6) Current SMX overall points system makes no sense. (Combining points for those not participating in both series or those switching classes does not compute)
(7) If your going to continue with SMX, make sure final races do not conflict with FIM World MXGP championship.
(Allow Fim riders who qualify for SMX finals to to compete in SMX finals without conflicting dates.)
(8) Establish a standalone EV class.

(9) Establish a stand up EV scooter class on its own track for Friday Night entertainment. Temporary lighting.

another idea may be to award mxgp riders smx points based on their seasons.
Hope would be to attract global riders outside of AMA.

Those two were great fun together, where are they now.
Most tracks already have amateur racing on friday and sunday, so I am not sure what you are talking about adding.
While 125 all stars, SMX next, and legends races are nice fillers, not sure they really bring additional people in. Same for EV races.
I don't know why nobody has ever mentioned replacing pala with glen helen. seems pretty simple. <sarcasm>
I prefer the current numbering system to what they had in the past with numbers changing every year.
If you think MXGP is going to do anything to help SMX or their star riders to come and race in the states you are truely clueless. They are already struggling to hold on to any new talent.
What problem are you trying to solve? The record attendance or the exciting racing?
How many GP guys would even go to the US just for an SMX race? I can’t imagine many, if any at all. They’d have to qualify for SMX by racing in the US beforehand.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding your post but I don’t see any reason to schedule the SMX races around MXGP.

Nope, no, what were they, 4 lap 'demo' races.
Make then the 25 minutes plus 2 laps, as EMX125 is.

But, fat chance on that ever happening - as, the organizers of the US nationals, and GNCC : MX Sports, dumped the XC3 (125s) class in GNCC. Citing there was 'no transition' through it.
But, I'll renege on my first sentence, and ad this : I was surprised , well, quite Impressed / Delighted, when Michael seemed to favour the Nationals going back to 2 days.
