Yes , you are.
I got them as a X-mas present from the girlfriend (now wife) and HATED them from day one.
Awkward feeling , couldn't feel the shifter, missed shifts. Did I mention I hated them ?
But...... had to be nice and wear them because. Well you know why.
After the torn medial collateral and ACL and resulting surgery, and sitting out for a year,
I was allowed to get some new Hi points and it was a very happy comeback.

I just gave my friend a pristine pair of the Yellow & Black one for his Yamaha collection!

I was told that I could have got about $200 for them on E-bay.

No big deal to me as I got them when I bought a enclosed trailer.

They where just siting on a shelf in the trailer.

I thought they were great until I used a set of my brother's Esprit boot. Never touched the Scott's again.

The thing everybody complained about, "lack of feel" was what I liked about them. You could land off of anything and not feel a thing. Plus you got to look just a little bit like Hannah. OK I admit it.

Alot of riders injured their knees because the Scott boots were too stiff.

Wanted a pair bad as a kid- I remember a magazine pic of a test rider, Zhart maybe, with his foot down in a turn and his ankle hyper extended, thinking how cool it was that the plastic boot flexed so far at the ankle pivot.

Anyway, as a broke teenager I couldn't swing them, so I bought a pair of the MXL boots instead.

My first serious case of buyer's remorse.......

First pair of MX boots I ever wore was a set of Scotts. I had bought a new pair of boots, but they had to be sent back to get a different size. A new track opened and had a free practice day and I had to go. A friend of a friend loaned me a set of Scott's that he wanted to sell. I couldn't feel anything on the bike! The pegs, the shifter, brake, nothing! I rode a couple laps and pulled them off. I borrowed a set of well worn Hi-Points for the rest of the day. Talk about a night and day difference in boots!
A few years later I bought a set of plastic M. Robert boots after reading a review on them in MXA. They were made out of a softer, more flexable plastic. I loved those boots! Lightweight, cooler than leather and a great feel for the bike.
