Found this on the MXA website. It is powerful in its simplicity.

Nice job JW!!!
and it's nice to watch a video without distracting/detracting music.
BTW, would you be able to e mail me please the photo of Ryno looking over at you?
i'll never forget the day when i heard that rick hemme, bruch bunch, and kyle fleming were hit by that train leaving the world mini. 3 of the best 80 riders in the world all gone at once
Glad you liked the piece...That is a young David Bailey in there and you can see Gary Jones, Danny LaPorte, Marty Tripes, Evel Knieve and I think some more. We had fun working with Jody on this important piece.
Best,
Todd

Ever since I first saw this video I wonder who the people in the beginning were. With the help of my vintage riding buddies I patched together a decent list and then when the Motocross Files came on the other day it filled some gaps. I think I have completed most of the people in the intro (the whole search reminded me of trying to name all the people on the cover of the Beatles Sgt Peppers album).
The kid on the bicycle is David Bailey (saw this on Motocross Files).
The guy in the yellow shirt is Edison Dye (if you look close you can see that it is a Husqvarna jersey).
That is Torsten Hallman and Preston Petty (to Torsten's left) on the podium.
Bud Ekins is jumping the fence in the Great Escape (everybody already knew that).
Joel Robert is riding on the back of the minibike with a kid.
Don Jones is riding a Triumph up a hill in a plaid shirt and open face helmet (also spotted on the Motocross Files).
Malcolm Smith is smiling as always.
Bob Hannah can be spotted in a yellow jersey hitting a berm with a three-digit number.
The family photo of people standing behind the bike is Don, Gary and Dwayne Jones (saw this on Motocross Files).
That is Marty Tripes riding the old bike up a bank and standing in front of number 311x.
My friend said that he recognized the photo of the kid waving on the Hodaka gas tank as Danny LaPorte from a older Motocross Files.
Now, who is the fifth guy on the second row of Sergeant Peppers?
Stumbled onto this site when I was thinking of Pete and looking to see if I could find anything on him, I knew him well, and wanted to correct the above. He was 34 when he died but not of cancer, he beat cancer. We all remember him well and he was loved. :]
