To anyone that thinks the rest of the guys are just riding around..

The guy that comes 38th at a national would absolutely wax a local race. I don’t think people realise how high the level actually is

It's true- ET, Prado and Sexton don't have anything for Jett, Hunter and Deegan let's get real. ET has been crashing his brains out for the last couple of years, Chase is chasing ghosts and Prado just isn't that fast.

Same thing in Europe. The amount of entries in the MXGP is not high, but the level is incredibly high. For example Micha Boy de Waal now lives close to our local track and has done a lot of practices and smaller races here. He has GP experience, was once one of the biggest Dutch talents (baring some gnarly injuries), still races and lives like a pro, breathes moto and obviously wins a lot of races and some smaller national races. Summarized, when you see him riding around at our local tracks and Dutch Nationals, he is absolutely waxing most of the field.

But, whenever we have GP guys attending those races, you see the difference in speed. It is insane. At the Dutch Masters in Markelo he was 7-11 seconds (compared every lap) off the pace compared to Kay de Wolf. And 4-6 seconds compared to Brent van Doninck.

This is nothing new, it’s just racing.  There’s always 2 guys way ahead of the rest,

RV Dungey

Tomac Roczen

Sexton Tomac

Sexton Jett

These are obviously just modern examples.  Let’s just be glad there are 3 riders in the heat of the battle this year.  I’m not really a fan of deegans personality but you’ve got to admit it adds some excitement to the racing.  The Lawrence’s have this game figured out and could make it a long few years of dominance.

It’s not like every season we have 12 factory guys that can win races, and as we saw at the weekend the Prado, Plessinger, Marchbanks guys are heating up and may not battle for wins but are still in an all out war for those 4-6 spots.

No question. We get a little spoiled by watching races on television. Sometimes you need to stand at trackside to be reminded of just how fast these fuckers are going… ALL of them.

They say the same shit every year.  It's no different to any other.

Absolutely criminal that Tomac had an incident like that on the very first lap of the year. I bet he'd be up there with the top group most of the weekends and he is always good for some rides that just blow your mind.

Hey at least we have Garrett Marchbanks....

:-/

Can't one pro Holeshot that isn't named Lawrence? At LEAST beat them for 200 yards...  ( Webb, well done! )
