I’m not trying to hate, I want to see Jorge blazing fast like he can be.
But did it seem like he kinda dropped anchor after Haiden passed him and then a little spark when AP got there?
I just don’t see a lot of fight if he loses a position and it’s giving me 2025 outdoor season vibes.
He's my "idk man" through the 4 rounds we've had. I am disappointed in his performance as a 2-time world champ. He's not even in the conversation with the Lawrences after 3 laps...
Ya I mean he kinda flat out said it was the bike last year and now he’s back on an Austrian bike, riding outdoors, training at aldons (I believe) and pala was good but after that not in the same zip code as the top 2-3
The brothers broke his spirit. Deegs is very close to being there also
No excuses after this happened in Colorado, on THE SAME BIKE !!!

He had it easy in the gp's because the spanish mafia run all things moto in europe. Now he's realising he's actually not invicible.
The simple fact is that, as good as he is, and as dialed in on his KTM as he is… he just doesn’t have the pace to run with the Lawrence’s and Deegan. And today, his teammate Plessinger found enough motivation and speed to pass him, too. Prado’s not perfect, but he’s worlds better than this time last year on the bike that just ended Sexton’s season.
The biggest let down of the year so far. He has yet to look like 2024 Prado.
He's always been an unimpressive champion. This isn't surprising. He actually looked really talented at times supercross (practice laps and heat race) but he's a fragile flower who can do nothing but hole shot and sprint
Sexton is the biggest let down
jorge ought to be embarrassed for allowing Deegs to pass him and disappear like that in the second moto.....no excuse for it
Sexwho?
Prado definitely isn't winning any hard charger, most passes award.
Except he did that moto after his dnf
He doesn't sound overly disappointed in his post race interview with Lewis honestly. He basically says he lost a lot last year and still needs to learn/regain his confidence and the feel he once had. He literally says Iv'e lost a lot of pace/speed but is positive about getting better as the year goes on. To me it sounds like he's switching away from 'I wanna be champ this year' and more into 'OK Iv'e got some work to do but am going to stay positive'.
he had made a big deal of people calling out his fading late in races, he did it again in race 2 today
marchbanks was hunting him down again as well,
Did he fade? Moto 1 held off deegan and got close to Jett
Moto 2 fought plesssinger to the death for how long? And put a gap into marchbanks while battling with ap, where was the fade exactly?
He yarded Marchbanks at will. Garrett would have to sneak up on him to pass him.
With out the Lawrence brothers, Prado and Deegan would be battling for the wins and they would both be hero's..
Pit Row
Nah he didn't fade. When haiden passed him he ran multiple 2:11s which is 4 sec slower than he ran before and after. No idea what the hell he does when he gets passed but he lost 10 seconds on haiden in those 2-3 laps. After that he was fine again but AP had caught back up. It's definitely no excuse but I don't think it has anything to do with fitness. Still frustrating to watch. He didn't look great all day. Even moto 1 which was a decent result he didn't look like himself
I'd like to see what he can do with a holeshot at RedBud or Southwick but I think he's just a couple % off the top speed and strength/fitness of the Lawrence brothers even on his best days.
He's always been a sprinter who builds up a gap early in a race and then maintains it, sort of Roczen-style with a bit less explosiveness. That first moto yesterday may have been very different if he hadn't cased the jump at the start, but he needs to realise that he can't bank on beating those honda boys off the line every week and get a bit better at latching on to them.
The second moto with Deegan, idk man. It's like he gave up or lost all his momentum after he was passed which is something we saw in SX too -- as soon as something messed with his flow he'd drop anchor for a few laps and really struggle to regain his pace.
He just isn't as gritty as his main competitors right now. If he can't figure out how to scrap at the front and follow other riders closely, it's going to be a long and lonely summer for him about 15-20 secs behind the battle for first and a few secs ahead of the battle for 5th
Since the motor let go he has given up.
Cant win the title just cruise around and get paid.
Bye, Hey whore.
Get paid on a bonus heavy contract by cruising around and not making the podium? Great idea lol
Especially in the first moto, he seemed to make a lot of mistakes, most of them related to the lack of rear-wheel traction when exiting turns.
Prado's running dunlops in the US right?
Welcome to racing in the USA. Just because you win in Europe doesn't always mean you will win here in SX or Moto. I think the the twins will change that up in the future but some guys dominate in MXGP and can't hang with the speed over here.
Hear me out
Prado back to MXGP is a good idea. Ktm is losing their golden geese (with the coenens leaving) and Prado has not ultimately been able to adapt like he’d hoped.
Hes doing good, not great. If I ran the MXGP team at KTM I’d be calling Jorge and Ian after every round he’s off the podium
I think he’s gotta adapt his style a bit, in Europe you have slower more technical tracks. US is more ball’s to the wall at times. You gotta get a bit sketchy & loose.
Jett & Hunter ride similar to Prado but have more intensity, Prado will have to be willing to ho outside his comfort zone to make it happen.
Time will tell I hope he figures out some more speed as watch the Lawrence show every wk end is already getting a be tiring.
The great difference are the tracks! Not all of the euro champs will adapt to these high speed multi line tracks.Vialle is the recent example!Prado confirmed that he has problems to find the best lines during a race.Lets wait and see.
Told you guys a couple of years ago when he was coming that Prado is, at best, the 9th or 10th fastest guy in the world. (84, 243, 3, 5, 959, 18, 96, 3, 4, 94, 38).
4x world champion? Yes. Great hole shot artist? Yes. Fastest man on the planet? No.
