Trump needs the war to stop soon for the mid term elections in November.

Netanyahu needs the war to go on until Israel's election in October, if he loses, his court case proceeds, he may go to jail, he has no incentive to stop.

Iran has been sanctioned for the last 47 years, the strait gives them leverage and are they willing to put up with more economic pain to achieve an advantageous deal, which include all sanctions lifted and their sanctioned assets returned.

The fighting will only stop when all 3 agree to stop, if Trump decides to stop, Israel and Iran will keep fighting.

There are definitely documented instances of destruction occurring, but there isn’t any evidence that it’s ordered by the Israeli government or military.
