Speaking of announcers and nicknames. If I’m Prado, I’m telling James to announce my name correctly. He says Prada so much, someone that doesn’t know any better might actually think it’s Praduh. IMO it’s disrespectful to his branding. He already doesn’t have many fans in the states. Now the casual fan won’t even know his name if it was up to James.

If I didn't already know better, I might think the guy's name was George Prada.

Question is - Will Hunter have a perfect season?

And, how much will Davies win by?

Dang, I am compelled to be that guy.

The Maico Spyder was 1983.  The 1981 Maico was the Mega 2 (1980 was Mega 1).

Just sold my Mega 1 440 to get some money to work on my 490 Mega 2 and 1982 490 Alpha!

Who knows really. 2 years ago at this race was when Jett crashed his brains out trying to clear a section no one else has done and didn’t finish the season while Chase went down and went from like 40th to 1st.

But I can’t wait to watch tomorrow, great track!

That crash didn't cause Jett to drop out though, despite that he still won every overall after and was forced to retire from the season before RedBud after a practice crash injuring his thumb If I remember correctly? How he still mopped the floor with everyone a week after that Hangtown crash didn't make much sense though.

My wording was probably bad. I didn’t intend to say that crash took him out. I was just saying Hangtown 24 was wild, and just the 24 season in general.

I also thought Deegans style didn’t look good on the 450. The 250 and 450 are the same height yet somehow he looked way smaller on it. Seems like he was in the attack position way lower than normal? I’m not an expert on style lol. Something just looked different to me. One of my questions going forward is if we see a style change from round 1 to round 2

Sexton was surprisingly better than I thought he was going to be. I want to see if he can take the fight at one of his better tracks. If he keeps it on 2 wheels his finishing position at Hangtown I think will tell us a lot going forward. I think he’s going to struggle on the deeper prepped tracks east coast

PC curse. Please break it this summer. Seems like anytime these PC guys get any kind of momentum going, it goes away.. fast. Hopefully it’s not at RD 2. There was a time you started wanting someone other than PC to win. Now I think we’d all like to see Mitch get one more. Can’t imagine he has too many years left as TM

As to Deegan looking "different" on the 450...no expert here, but clearly he has probably found that he can't fling the 450 around, or stuff it into corners aggressively like his style on the 250 was, because of power and maybe a weight difference. Indeed, he might be lowering his positioning for more control and he appears "smaller" on the 450  as a result. He looked different in an actual race situation than he did hauling ass around a practice track for sure. He'll figure it out, and improve.

I think maybe Sexton has decided to quit complaining, quit overthinking, and just "ride the bike". I definitely see some podiums & maybe a win or two before the series wraps.

I’ve seen a couple people now mentioning you can’t stuff a 450 into a corner like a 250 and Deegan doing this. Can we stop this narrative?

  1. You have a better chance of being able to stuff a 450 into a corner than a 250 because the 450 has the power to do it, a 250 will bog. 250’s need more roll speed than 450’s.
  2. Deegan has never been the guy to stuff a bike in a corner, he has always had absolutely amazing corner speed with phenomenal momentum. He may be adapting to his new ride, but historically that isn’t his cornering style.

Don"t care much for his BS, but.... watching him rail those outside berms on a 450 is pretty fucking cool.

chase - as long as he doesn't yard sale...I think he'll have a pretty decent summer

hunta - gonna be 2nd place all year

prado is gonna be 3rd

Jett - my theory is that he was nervous going into this round and it showed. ASSUMING his foot doesn't deteoriate and ASSUMING he gets better starts, the cship is his for the taking. He was all over top 2 in moto 2 and simply ran out of time.

Deegs is gonna bounce around 3-6 all summer and continue being a little prick like he's always been (sorry, not sorry. Can't stand him)

I still think Hunter had more in the tank last week.

Guess we'll see today.
