Newsom confiscates $1.8 billion from Jan. 6 defendants

5/31/2026 4:41pm

Medical examiner ruled Sicknicks death was from natural causes. Listed as NO internal or external injuries as well as no reaction to any chemical Irritants. Easy to read the report. The libs are begging for it to be a different conclusion.

I’m not saying it didn’t. I’m saying if he hadn’t had high blood pressure in the first place he wouldn’t have died.

We don't know if he had chronic blood pressure problems, but since your blood pressure goes up when you exercise, or are scared, or when you do pretty much anything, we know that everyone's bp was up.

Also, it doesn't matter. If you push an old lady down three stairs and she dies from a fall that a young person would easily survive, it's all the same. There are no health benchmarks for when harming someone, is somehow not harming them just because it was easier that it would have been with someone else. Otherwise, crimes against kids and seniors would have some asterisk degradation of charges, which they do not. It's all the same.

So what I see now from all the Pro Jan 6th group is the officer died from natural causes ignoring that the medical examiner said it play a roll. Also it’s 100% speculation about the blood pressure
High blood pressure is a major risk factor for many strokes in general, but the medical examiner did not publicly state that hypertension caused Sicknick’s stroke, and I could not find any official source reporting his blood pressure readings.

Also they want to say it wasn’t $30’million in damages it was $3million.

Even if it was $3million that is still incredibly bad.

Completely ignoring the 140 officer hurt and that it was criminal conspiracy to try and change the election.

So to say it’s libs trying to make something out of nothing isn’t really a things, it’s more that maga will just dismiss, ignore and dont acknowledge anything that doesn’t fit there narrative.

Do you all of the sudden fie of high blood pressure if you didn’t already have high blood pressure? I actually don’t know. I didn’t think you could have a death blow spike in blood pressure on someone who had normal blood pressure to begin with.

That’s funny shit JB! That’s disrespectful to Butt-head for sure. Do you have any memes trolling Don Jr for marrying one of Epstein’s banker’s daughter? It’s big club and I’m glad I ain’t part of it.

First, you are making assumptions, the medical report said nothing about it and the examiner said that Jan 6th assault was a factore in his death. Second that been a right wing Conspiracy theory to try and make things questionable.

You stated in the beginning that a police officer was killed on J6. The medical examiner said that he died of natural causes also. Things don’t add up with his report.

I can see why you say that, but you can have natural causes for death that can be trigged by an assault. That doesn’t forgive the assault part, he wouldn’t be dead if he hadn’t been assaulted. It’s the argument that “ I didnt mean to kill him” basically or similar to that.  I see your point though.

Did he have to take an annual physical? His hypertension really should have disqualified him from being a police officer. Was he a smoker?

High blood pressure, is caused by a sedimentary lifestyle, lack of exercise and poor eating habits.

Just like the PFT, height/weight requirements for the military. You know, the ones that are just being enforced again. Your BP is too high you get pulled.

If you’re going to allude that J6ers killed him, I’m going to say he committed suicide. Both are a stretch…….

Honestly I don’t wanna go any further with this. The man is dead and it’s a tragedy. I’m not in any way condoning what went on J6, it’s a stain on America in my opinion. I put those loons in the same category as the goons that were setting cities on fire during the Floyd riots.

This is the guy that lectures about "tyranny." He says he's just going to take the $1.8 billion secured by Trump for Jan. 6 defendants. This is laughably illegal, but CA taxpayers will have to pay the millions or tens of millions of dollars in legal fees that will result from the legal challenges.

The CA state government is nothing more than a criminal enterprise. They also passed legislation trying to protect the fraudsters being exposed by Nick Shirley. Why anybody would vote for these scumbags is beyond me. It would be so awesome if we got a Republican governor and LA Mayor. Even my most liberal friends admit to me that Newsom is a criminal. I say this as a guy who was a Democrat until almost 50 years old.

Wait, weren't you saying that you were a journalist?  I think your title overstates what the article actually says.

Newsom hasn't confiscated $1.8 billion from anyone. The Reuters article says he's proposing legislation that would tax certain settlement proceeds. Whether that's a good idea or a bad one is certainly open for debate, but nothing has been confiscated and no money has changed hands.  Also, governors don't impose new taxes by themselves. The legislature would have to pass a bill, and any such law would almost certainly face court challenges.

A more accurate title might be, "Newsom proposes tax on Jan. 6 settlement proceeds." That still leaves plenty of room to criticize the proposal without implying something has already happened when it hasn't.

Fair enough. Looks like a judge just eliminated the fund anyhow.

The BLM brought us 2 BILLION in damages, including federal buildings and over 2,000 officers injured. Jan 6th was not a good look but isn’t even a pimple on BLM’s arse. I’m waiting for Liz and a committee to find these folks.

The irony is pretty rich. The guy who trolls everyone, makes things personal, and constantly calls people names is the one accusing others of being a douche.

Your pic clearly shows you yearn to be the big lots version of Mike Ness. You admitted to that in another thread. As I said earlier, he’s not a douche so why must you be one in every single interaction?

This is the story of your life and you were wrong.

When you're breaking through glass with an angry mob and a cop is pointing a gun at you telling you to stop, you should probably stop. America used to know that.

So that's the standard now? Would this same standard apply to Renee Good in Minnesota?
