I did two 30's in mine Sunday and it was mid 80s and dusty as hell. I wear contacts and had no issues with anything getting inside. I do feel more protected when getting roosted. Regular goggles ive had dirt sneak into the helmet around the edges of the goggle but I don't think its possible with these. My vampire tear offs are working well with them too.
My Vampire tearoffs just showed up for mine as well. I can’t wait to compare them to the 6D branded laminates. The price point & customer support from Vampire have certainly made them competitive so far.
I worry about the dust if I run them without the nosepiece to clear my glasses 😬
I could definitely see that being a bit of a concern. As much as I hate my contacts after 30 years, im glad im able to use them instead of glasses.
I'll be in the market for a new Helmet soon, and the 6D combo interests me - but Big $$$$$ here.
Something I'm surprised by - that they have left the mounting points for Roll Offs still so far onto the lens.
Sure, there (appears, is claimed, and I Don't doubt it) a bigger peripheral vision available than conventional goggles, but, why not make more of an effort to mount the Roll Off Pods further out on the lens, or better, onto part of the strap? Yes, then std Roll Offs may not fit, but bloody hell, they have already made a system that only works as a set.
I've got a few goggles set up for Roll Offs, but even with the Decades I've used them ( when needed) the restriction to peripheral vision really takes a bit of adapting to, each time.
They could do their own, much deeper Roll Off set up ( that does exist from several manufacturers, and bloody hell, they are FanBloodytastic when you go from the std Roll Offs to those!) for their Helmet / Goggle system.

I am definitely a fan of my atr3. Feels built for my head. Ive had other high end helmets but overall quality seems better too.
I do my best to not ride when roll offs are needed. Lol
Just wanted to jump in and thank everyone for all the interest, feedback, questions, and support surrounding the MAX goggle.
To be honest, the excitement and initial demand have even surprised us a bit. We knew people would be curious, but the response has been incredible and we appreciate it. We are currently anticipating a full re-stock in early June.
The main goal with MAX was always improving rider safety. For years we have focused on protecting the head and brain through helmet tech, but the eye port was always one area of the helmet we could never truly protect. In our 15 years, we have seen numerous rider injuries related to objects entering the eye port area. MAX was developed to help address that by adding protection from roost and debris while also providing additional benefits such as reducing facial pressure, visibility, and overall rider comfort.
That said, we understand goggles are a personal preference. While we believe in what MAX brings to the table and the new rider experience it creates, some riders will prefer the familiarity of a traditional goggle setup, and that’s completely fine.
To clear up a couple availability questions:
Really appreciate everyone taking the time to discuss, debate, question, and try something different. It means a lot to our team.

Another benefit, you don’t need to remove them prior to taking your helmet off. Just leave them on. Brilliant!
Just leaving the track, which is likely my last ride till the red bud regional due to the amount of rain we'll get this weekend into next week. I did 3 25's tonight and its nice not having sweat logged goggles. No issues with sweat in my eyes or anything either.
I'm going to run them at the races, which has been a decision I wasnt quite clear on up until my last couple rides. The only reason I was contemplating traditional goggles was simply due to the unfamiliar feeling of nothing touching above my eyebrows. That feeling has pretty much gone away and now when i tried on my traditional goggles, i felt very closed in. Odd how quickly something youve used for over 30 years now feels like its the oddball. Lol
Ive gotten alota questions from people at tracks since i started wearing them and aside from the "dang those are big" comments, my thoughts on them have probably sold a dozen pairs. I showed a guy tonight how they fit into my helmet and he was blown away. Was wearing a different helmet and commented now hes going to upgrade lids and goggles.
Got and tested mine out today in the desert, it was over 90 degrees. They worked great, the Field of View is as big as a street bike helmet, I pretty much forgot I was wearing googles. No ventilation issues for me either. I sweat a ton usually and the only sweat that got in my goggles was from my hair that was under the goggle.
Im extremely impressed with them.
@6D Helmets / Derek , I've not yet seen or held these goggles yet so hard to understand if and how they might work for folks who where glasses. Any thoughts on how either glasses or the yousee type lenses are compatible with the Max goggles?
I just had my first ride in them today with glasses. I removed the nosepiece altogether to clear the frames of my glasses.
Dust was not an issue for me today, even with the nosepiece removed.
I’ve always felt like the ATR-3 squeezed the arms of my glasses pretty well & kept them snug. Once I tried the Max goggle, I was sadly mistaken. I was only able to ride about 3 laps before my glasses had moved enough that I was looking up & sideways to see. I went back to my 100% OTG for the rest of the day.
I’m going to try to get a Croakie on my glasses to keep them better secured to my face. Aside from that I was impressed that I never fogged in the Max goggles.
My buddy crashed in our race today and these goggles cut the bridge of his nose.
Thanks for the question, for riders running glasses, what we’ve seen so far is that most have had the best success by slightly modifying the nosepiece, typically trimming a small section to allow the bridge of the glasses to sit more naturally (a trimming guide for the goggle nose interface will be available very soon). That tends to relieve pressure points and helps the frames settle into a more stable position.
On our end, we’re actively working on a more complete solution. We’re currently in development on a dedicated nose interface designed to be 100% compatible with glasses, which should make this a much more seamless experience moving forward.
Appreciate you getting a ride in them and sharing the feedback.
Good call on removing the nose interface that’s definitely an option for clearing glasses. That said, we’ve found most riders using glasses have the best luck slightly modifying the nosepiece by trimming a small section so the bridge of the glasses can sit naturally (a trimming guide for the goggle nosepiece will be available very soon). If you still want the dust protection, this also helps keep the glasses more stable compared to removing it entirely.
We also offer ATR-3X cheek pads developed for our off-road adventure helmet that include built-in glasses relief in the cheek pad design.
Glad to hear dust wasn’t an issue and that the anti-fog worked well, that’s a big focus for us and still ongoing.
We’re also working on a dedicated nose interface designed to be fully compatible with glasses, which should make things much more seamless moving forward.
Thanks again for giving them a try.
I wear glasses normally but contacts under a helmet. Have not had an issue of dirt under the contact yet.
