My son is a huge cooper Webb fan. He worked hard to buy a signed front number plate for $150 of his hard earned money. Why on earth has it not been delivered after ordering 3 weeks ago?he keeps saying any day dad.   Wtf?

I don’t really have anything useful to say, but I’m curious.. where was this ordered from? I don’t believe you’ll find many pros selling autographed merch out on the open market. Sounds like you have a bone to pick with whoever the seller is, not Cooper Webb himself.

Has it been shipped? If so, was there a tacking number in the confirmation email?

If it hasn't shipped yet, have you tried using the Contact link on the website?

Thanks for your reply Jason.  Why can’t you order a signed number plate from a riders website and not get it in a decent timeframe.  My wife just informed me it was a pre order. I stand corrected if it takes that long to sign a piece of plastic and ship it out. Time will tell

Sounds like you agree 3 weeks is a long time to receive what you paid for 3 weeks ago?

He's busy focusing on this championship. He'll get to it when he's out of it. Could be a while

My question to my son will be if the number plate comes as number 1 or number 2 now.  Kenny was the champ after he ordered.  Lol

I don’t think Vital has the answer you’re looking for.

Pre-orders take time. I bought Ken Roczens championship shirt, and it was a 3-6 week pre order. Learn how to read a website.

Putting a bitch like this on a forum is not fair to the rider. He's not handling the sales on his website. This takes time. He's busy. And you know this!!! Pretty easy to explain to your son. In my opinion.

You know what would have been better? Since you are central CA, go to Pala or Hangtown National with a pit pass with a replica Plate from Decal Works and see Webb as he comes back or going to timed Qualifying. He will GLADY come over quickly to sign it and take a quick picture. Trust me.

You people who worship these riders kill me. It’s Webb’s fucking signature on the plate and he is charging people for it. I don’t care who is in charge or it. It’s not a good look for Webb. He is ultimately responsible for the product.

If he can’t sign and make sure they are shipped in a timely manner than he doesn’t need to to it all at. It’s really not that hard to put something in the mail.

Sounds like a parental ‘teaching moment’ for your son.
Hope he enjoys the plate and perhaps learns the art of patience in the process.

I hope one day Webb gets to witness his children being treated as poorly as he treated mine, it was then my 10 year old learned to never meet your heroes

Probably should have included a coupon for a big mac when you did the payment.

Kinda goes with a pre-order.

Before the Interwebs, I was involved in a fundraiser. The mailed-out flyer specified it was a pre-order. "And the reason I said that was" we wanted to make sure everyone one got the right-sized shirt without having a bunch of leftovers gouging the not-for-profit.

One guy bitched about not receiving his shirt after around 10 days of sending his money. He finally got his shirt two weeks after the race where everybody else was wearing theirs.

Fair enough and thanks for your advice. What time frame do you think is acceptable? We are coming up on 4 weeks. I think the rider is 100% responsible for his merch sales when he gets $150 for a signed piece of plastic.

Maybe they saw this thread and said "f*** it". In all seriousness, have you reached out to the website contact and asked what their schedule is right now for pre-ordered plates? Or did you just bitch them out like here?

On any pre-ordered item, I don't think 4 weeks is out of line at all. It could be 6 months. Usually this is because they are trying to hit a certain volume of items before pulling the trigger on the order as they are priced based on a qty. If they had to get coop to come by every day to sign a t-shirt, it would be way to much. I would always ask prior to ordering a pre-order only item. They may not be able to give you an exact date.

I can’t decide what is wilder. Webb selling signed plates online or people buying them.

Man, welcome to the internet. Especially when it comes to merchandise, there are things you buy that can take a year to ship, with no warning

I wasn't trying to be a jerk. You will get your plate. But it's in season. Something like that will take time. Any factory rider would have a similar situation. They don't have the band width to handle this stuff in season. someone else is.  Doesn't matter who it is really. You might actually see it in the next few days if he had a chance to get to this stuff during the break after SX. But outdoor prep keeps them busy. Trust me, Webb is not at fault.

Good Luck and bring your son to a National
