Villopoto chopped that corner off when James and Dungey were on his ass.... because he knew better.
Seems like he's getting bullied on the track at times, but thats to be expected I guess.

It was in a place where we couldn't get a good camera angle on it, but from the video replays that I saw in the stadium, it was a clean pass, but as Cunningham was angling up to finish his apex ahead of Roczen, Ken was already aiming his front wheel back down the berm and ran into Cunningham's rear wheel, leaving both of them on the ground. Then Davalos ran out of room trying to get around both of them, and he ended up on the ground as well.
Kyle was close but he wasn't close enough to make a good block pass. If Ken makes it to the apex and begins accelerating out then it's TOO damn late to try and block pass him - especially on exit. He (ken) has no chance, absolutely no chance, zero, of stopping.
Kyle cuts all the way past the beginning of the berm, and just past the apex to make contact with Ken. Why does he have to do this? Because he isn't quite near enough. He's close but he needs a little more to give Ken reason to check up and pause. Bad decision, bad move.
By the time Kyle get's there (even if Ken could stop) he's not going to be looking out for another rider anyway. How many people pause mid apex, look down to make sure it's clear before accelerating on and out. I don't. And those guy's are way faster than me. As soon as your wheels hit that apex you're on the gas, pro or amateur it doesn't matter, you're on it.
The 450 main amongst RV, RD and JS shows how a clean block passing should be made.
That move was to aggressive for using it in the third round of the main event. Use it in the last lap of the LCQ or in the last lap of the main event if you are battling for the lead and if you are smart do it good and don't go down yourself! IDIOTIC MORON that cunningham guy if you wanna retaliate do it like Josh Hansen ... Do it in style shoulder against shoulder and push out of the corner and stuff like that and Roczen need to learn that the Americans are dirty pigs on the race track and not sweet pussies like most European racers he need to bang bars, block pass, let the race come to him and anticipate on dirty moves ...
one thing I noticed was Roczen was close to Tomac entering the corner and made his turn 2-3 bike lengths earlier than him too
Wouldn't most people agree that a block pass is one thing, done properly it shouldn't take the other guy down? That's why it's only really seen in SX because of the tighter tracks making for slower corner speeds but any other pass shouldn't really see the other guy left with no room, racing's racing but to remain respectful surely you can ride hard but ride fair?
You can clearly see in the angle on that youtube video, Cunni was going for Roczen's front wheel.
Shitty move, but that's racing i guess....
Thing is Roczen was down as being the faster guy and I don't think Cunningham may have thought he'd get another chance to get near, after all it was Tomac's mistake that pulled him up that close in the first place
