What kind of "crime" do you call it when Iran just kills it's citizens when they participate in a protest?

Ahh the old 2 wrongs make a right argument........

Just because they have a different idea of morality doesn't make them unable to see and expect how others will act.  America has historically been against genocide and killing off entire civilizations.  I think its an accurate assessment that the US is unlikely to Nuke the entire country.

Arguing that we should lower our morals to the standards we perceive the enemy to have , is one of the many things wrong with Americans today.

Whatever happened to do onto others as You would have done onto You?  I thought we were going to "save" the people of Iran and support their uprising, talk of making those people disposable and a cost of war is not going to do much for making them hate us less.  It's not a lot different than them saying death to America, but in this case the person saying death to Iran has the ability to make it happen.

But arguing online is just helping keep the divide, help grow the divide. I need to do better myself. And I wish that our leaders could have some of the same honest self reflection. I really need to become the change I would like to see and stop writing things that can be taken as anyway other than uniteing.

I agree with a lot of your opinions. But the U.S. is the only country ever drop nuclear bombs on another country.
And now we have a reality tv clown show of an administration threatening entire civilizations.
I’m against it

Mostly the point I was trying to make was that I didn't think we should  use nukes, based on the argument that Iran doesn't care about its people why should we.  And that the assessment by Iran that we would not be likely to kill the entire country  really had no connection to what they themselves would or wouldn't do.

I think we are on the same page as far as not nuking  Iran or anybody. And that we are likely closer than ever to having somebody in charge that is very loose with the idea of using them . I really hope that Trump is not as loose with Nukes as it looks like from the outside looking in. And that hopefully the greed he has would prevent him from using them. After all if there is all kinds of radiation all that oil will be useless.

But this current administration Is so easy to see thru. From Trump who was broke before being elected to being worth billions now, to his whole family becoming so rich. Public service isn’t supposed to be like that. But the system is broken, both republicans and demorats. Fuck our government. Hate all you want, if you can’t see that you are as dumb as shellymx

But me personally I rode mtbs in Laguna beach today and now I’m drinking margaritas, so whatever.

Yes it certainly is. Had a friend pass away a few years back with an unfortunate crash on the decent sized double at the top of Art School (RIP Jason). Great rider too. He was the 2017 Superstock 600 Champion, great road racer as well...Great dude and super humble for how fast he was. He would always follow me down Luge in Trabuco as he was trying to get a sub 3min lap and that was the one trail I had him beat on (it's my backyard). He had me covered in Laguna though. I try to ride those trails surgically clean vs fast, consequences are too high. Certain Laguna trails are still fun to rip fast though, telonics, repo, etc.

That’s terrible. Laguna isn’t a joke, I know the double I rode it today.

We've been taken for a ride in this country for decades. However what we're dealing with now has certainly cranked it up a few notches and feels like a slap in the face as it's no longer happening behind polished antics, but blatantly in front of us.

It's tough to see good, hard working folks still eat it up, and direct hate and blame towards the wrong people as the root cause of our main issues. Especially when a lot of the frustration is completely valid. The US is so painfully misguided by false narratives through an incredibly polished lens that is designed to ensure we don't course correct.

The Nazi Party found tremendous success after the 1929 crash, incited insurrection, promised to restore prosperity, create jobs, etc. The Nazi Party destroyed German democracy and installed a totalitarian regime. They exploited democratic mechanisms to seize power, and rapidly dismantled constitutional rights. It's certainly hard to ignore the parallels in strategy present here.

I keep telling myself we needed this to happen to some degree to really wake up the echoes and course correct this beautiful country we call home.

Exactly. And it’s the same problem we have here.

Corporate greed and lobbyists.

The sooner people realise it’s not left vs right, it’s them vs us, the better off we will all be.

The only way to stop it, is to only allow political contributions from registered voters, with a contribution limit, ban corporate donations and Super PACs.

But it's never going to happen while the people receiving the bribes, I mean donations, are the same people who write and enforce the laws.

If we're so easily manipulated then we get what we deserve. Most voters can't name the 3 branches of government or their representatives. The corporate money is only a problem because we're too stupid to vote for representatives who will actually represent us. The money and the motivations behind it aren't even a secret but the people giving it to the politicians and the politicians know we'll never collectively hold them accountable for any of it.

It’s increasingly important that people understand and act on the situations they can control.  And one of those things is not the federal government. Local agencies and laws play a larger role in our daily lives, and Americans have the freedom to reside in areas most aligned with their overall beliefs.

Many here complain about living in CA, yet they are also free to exit the state. No place is perfect, and for most California’s benefits outweigh the detriments.  It’s typically those with a significant financial incentive that pull up stakes.

Greed and corruption are inescapable for any powerful entity.  It’s accepted as the cost of doing business, and while sometimes reprehensible, we’re willing to accept the “bad” as long as the “good” continues to move forward.

You missing one thing, Trump inherited $400 million in the the 1980’s. If Trump just invested that in a low % investment he would be worth more.  So he isn’t a self made man!

So if Iran has agreed to everything, who is responsible for not having a signed agreement. Who is the one NOT agreeing?

Normally when everybody agrees that is when deals are finalized right?

If what Trump said about Iran agreeing to everything is true, than he,somebody with the US side or Israel ,are the ones holding up a deal from being finalized.  If it's not one of those parties who else could it be and why are they involved in an agreement?

Is the proposed 42% increased defense budget going from roughly $1T to $1.5 T  a negotiating tactic? is it the US saying we don't want this war to stop just yet? Is the true cost of the Iran war expected to be $500B and the reason for the increase?

From what I've read and watched, I really do not think that Iran has agreed to everything, or that the US or Israel have either.

Trump said, Irans peace proposal is unacceptable.

President Donald Trump said Monday he is increasingly leaning toward resuming military operations against Iran following what he described as disappointing negotiations, according to Iran International, citing reports from Israel’s Channel 12.

“Trump is going to hit them a bit,” one administration official reportedly said.

“We wanted an agreement, but now everyone understands where this is heading," another senior official added.

The warning comes just hours after Trump rejected Tehran’s peace proposal, calling the offer “unacceptable” and “a piece of garbage,” while calling the fragile ongoing ceasefire “unbelievably weak.”

The potential move to renew military action comes after Trump was briefed at the White House on military options by U.S. Central Command

Hey, L2S wants to know if you need approval before resuming the war..

Just look at the timing. It’s not random.

But you would have to know what the requirements are to declare war, and then donnie would need approval. if you were paying attention.
Skating those requirements isn’t random, he knows he would not get congressional approval. Because this war is bullshit. This shit is obvious “if” people payed attention.
But then again the US can’t just keep sending missiles down range, there isn’t a never ending supply.

Totally winning. When gas is $8.00 it’s going tho be winning like nobody ever won before, you guys are going to be so sick of winning

I thought you needed approval from congress after 60 days. I think once the cease-fire started so did the 60 days limit. So I thought they were saying that Trump still has 10 days once the the cease-fire ends before he has to get congressional approval.

Well, today I was dealing with a Kohler rep. The $900 faucet wasn’t working right after installing it. Those hand sensor types are garbage. They get air locked if there’s any air in the system. Then the little valve that opens up and allows water through goes to shit. By the end of the day, 3 weren’t working. I’m trying to get a final inspection by the end of the week and, the fuckin faucets aren’t going to arrive until August.

Then I got home after spending 1/2, my day on the phone and sending emails to help my daughter with her car. Then my wife is sick so, after all this I went grocery shopping. I bought the wrong fucking grapes. This bag of bullshit tastes like cotton candy. Why the hell would anyone want a cotton candy flavored grape?

I just want the day to end already but, nooooo….
My dumb ass jumps on Vital to attempt to unwind and, I see I’m quoted. Does Trump need congressional approval. The fuck? Let me call him and, ask because I’m on a first name basis with the guy. Jesus Christ what a day!!
