In all that, are you expecting Russia to just walk back to Russia and volunteer back the land they conquered? Are you saying Ukraine can force them back over the border if they don't just do it own their own? Sorry to tell you, that land is now part of Russia. And you can thank Biden for that.
TM
Bidens fault 🤣🤦
MAGA needs some new material.
I'm not sure where in my response you think I suggested Ukraine was going to walk Russia back to previous borders. I'm fairly sure that I pointed out a freeze on current front lines would arguably constitute a 'win' for Ukraine, not least as it's a deal they already offered the Russians.
Biden was a dithering, geriatric fucking dipstick who was afraid of his own shadow when it came to Ukraine. He had to be goaded or pushed into everything from tanks to HIMARS to aircraft. He didn't walk away though, so there's that...
So the argument is that Biden was supposedly an idiot for worrying about escalation with a thermonuclear Russia a country with the world’s largest nuclear arsenal, advanced ICBMs, hypersonics, and guaranteed second-strike capability while at the same time people are panicking over Iran, which still doesn’t have a confirmed active bomb program, doesn’t have a deployed nuclear weapon, and even if it built a crude device, has no proven reliable way to deliver it against the U.S.
So apparently caution with a nuclear superpower was weakness, but fear of a threshold nuclear state is realism.

I think you're at risk of thinking I'm taking a side that I'm not really. Russia loves to sabre-rattle, it's pretty much standard for them to be rediculously bellicose in rhetoric used. It wasn't that long ago that former president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev was arguing on state TV that Russia should nuke Western Europe. Caution isn't a problem when it's warranted but there's a fine line between sensible caution and flat-out hesitancy.
I've said this before but the US may well be proven right in years to come about Iran being close to developing a nuke and having the intention to use it, we likely won't know for a while until the intelligence is declassified. Oh and by 'use it' that doesn't mean fitting it to an ICBM, they could easily make smaller bombs which they could disseminate to their proxies in the region rather than a direct attack against the US. I'm less critical of Trump for starting the fight with Iran than I am for taking the boot off Russia's neck when the chance was there to force the issue. The criticism with Iran really is more about not realising how Iran would respond and not having much of a plan beyond taking out the leadership in the initial strikes, but that doesn't mean they were wrong to do it in the first place.
Just to be clear, you're saying that stopping Russia now, with all the territory they've taken is a "win" for Ukraine? Hmmm. Isn't that more like stop beating the shit out of me and you can keep my wallet? But OK
TM
Have not yet seen if the Quatari tanker made it through but did however see that we took out 4 Iranian tankers.
We'll just have to wait and see if the LNG tanker makes it through.
I'm saying it's a win from the perspective they could easily have lost a hell of a lot more, have been outnumbered massively and have fought an asymetric masterclass to hold the Russians to the gains they have. I doubt very much it's a win they would celebrate, obviously, but holding off a far bigger country that went into this thinking in less than a month they'd take the whole country the way they have is likely as much as they can realistically hope for.
The Russians categorically are not '"beating the shit out of them", but neither are the Ukranians going to move forwards. That whole frontline is a pretty scary view into the future of what drone warfare looks like honestly.
So you understand, a country making there first generation nuclear bomb or weapon, it’s a big bomb it’s not small, then using Uranium it quite a bit bigger than Plutonium bomb, Making it much harder to deliver! Not really something that will happen. This administration didn’t have a plan, didn’t have any clear objectives. One of the reasons no other administration in the last 47 years attacked Iran was because of the strait, this was a know major issue. Bibi has been trying to get the USA to go into Iran since the 1990, saying there only weeks away from having a nuclear weapon. Bibi final found his village idiot!
You really believe Iran wasn’t trying to develop a nuke, when they aren’t willing to give up their nuke development program in negotiations?
The Trump intelligence depts comfirmed that they were not in development of a weapon.
U.S. intelligence community (led by appointees such as CIA Director John Ratcliffe) generally assessed that while Iran was enriching uranium, there was no evidence they had reauthorized a formal, active nuclear weapons program.
Just because you have the material doesn’t necessarily mean you going to build a bomb.
Having a weapons program does take allot of time.
Oh and they did give it up with the Nuke deal that Trump renigned on! So why would they think making any kind of deal now with the USA ?

How about when Roczen almost lost his arm about a decade ago? How many people said he was done? Stayed in the fight, and pulls off a championship on supposedly outdated equipment 9 years later. Iran is the sub tier team while the US is the big factory team with all the resources available.
You've tried to make this same analogy several times in this thread now with different flavors. You also seem to be very focused on the Strait. What about the nuclear arsenal we obliterated almost a year ago, only to have to go back in and start this war to finish what we already claimed we did successfully last June? Iran leveraging the Strait is one of many downstream consequences of our actions, that you are repeatedly making poor analogies to try and prove a point on.
Remember when we entered Iraq to eliminate the threat of WMD? How did that work out for us?
Iran has been well versed in long term, multi generational wars dating back to the 16th century. And Iran still exists.
What you are doing is taking a page out of the Donfather's book, see the illusory truth effect.
At a minimum, I appreciate your love for America my dude.
You do realise that Russia has only taken 13% of Ukraine after 4 and a half years of fighting. They’ve literally lost most of their Soviet stock piles and over a million casualties.
If America went to war with Mexico, had the same amount of casualties and lost all of its armour, would you say that America won if they took 13% of Mexico after almost 5 years?
Russia has proven how shit its military equipment and doctrine is. And Ukraine is just getting its long range strikes started.
There's some truth in what you're saying. A war is not over until both sides agree it's over. Which is why we still have the blockade in place. Iran knows we don't want to bomb their civilian population OR ruin their country. We could do that in 1 hour, blow the shit out of Kharg Island. Or transportation infrastructure. Their IRGC was designed to protect the Mullahs, all they did for decades was plan defense. So they have the advantage of planning and preparing. Also, they have the advantage that we care about their population and they don't. So the waiting game is painful. But their options are very limited. They've fucked up and caused their neighbors to side with us and are now isolated. They are not KR94, more like Mike Allessi, at one time a powerhouse that was never able to rise to the hype. They for sure had their days in the sun, but their time is over. They need to make nice and we will help them rebuild.
TM
*Iran knows it would be a massive war crime if we bombed civilians or targeted transportation infrastructure
The fact this might be an option for us should be a major red flag to everyone.
Pit Row
Watching the race last night and seeing how all the racers had respect for eachother and raced hard, but were classy and respectful off the track gave me faith in humanity.
I was expecting Deegan to be all pissy after his moves backfired. But instead I saw a respectful and classy racer. Trump and many people could learn from how all the racers showed each other respect. Republicans and Democrats are not enemies, they are both people who love their country and just have different ideas about how some things should be done. Fighting and working against each other , calling each other enemies is just wrong. Opponents during the elections , but then co workers after that should all be working to help the people they represent in a professional manor.
The way Trump attacks reporters when he's asked something he doesn't like. I fully expected Deegan to act similarly after that race and I was pleasantly surprised. And disappointed that our elected leaders are heading the wrong way in the area of respect and how they treat each other.
We are in a very strange world when I would want my kids to look at a 20 year old Youtuber and dirt bike racer as a role model over the current president of the US. It just feels really messed up to me. Haiden Deegan showed much more class and respect for his fellow racers than Trump ever showed his fellow political opponents. Last nights race reminded me why moto is so great. And I've been a critic of Deegan in the past,I was so pleasantly surprised.
What a crazy world we live in .
"*Iran knows it would be a massive war crime if we bombed civilians or targeted transportation infrastructure"
What kind of "crime" do you call it when Iran just kills it's citizens when they participate in a protest?
Ahh the old 2 wrongs make a right argument........
Just because they have a different idea of morality doesn't make them unable to see and expect how others will act. America has historically been against genocide and killing off entire civilizations. I think its an accurate assessment that the US is unlikely to Nuke the entire country.
Arguing that we should lower our morals to the standards we perceive the enemy to have , is one of the many things wrong with Americans today.
Whatever happened to do onto others as You would have done onto You? I thought we were going to "save" the people of Iran and support their uprising, talk of making those people disposable and a cost of war is not going to do much for making them hate us less. It's not a lot different than them saying death to America, but in this case the person saying death to Iran has the ability to make it happen.
But arguing online is just helping keep the divide, help grow the divide. I need to do better myself. And I wish that our leaders could have some of the same honest self reflection. I really need to become the change I would like to see and stop writing things that can be taken as anyway other than uniteing.
Well about 24 months ago you would have called it none of our business. I’m inclined to agree.
Man you really love that cool aid
I agree with a lot of your opinions. But the U.S. is the only country ever drop nuclear bombs on another country.
And now we have a reality tv clown show of an administration threatening entire civilizations.
I’m against it
So 13 pages later and Iran hasn't agreed to shit all. Let alone 'everything'.
Do you not watch the news? Or pay attention to current affairs here? That happens in the US. ICE shootings ring a bell?
Plus nation wide surveillance, everything you do or say is recorded and stored these days, we might be terrorists so it’s ok.
But other governments are the problem? How about our government tries to help us and not worry about starting wars all over the world, wars that are about money. The US government doesn’t care about other countries citizens just like they don’t care about US citizens.
It's almost like Trump was lying.
Palantir...
What Trump lied? You mean every time he talks?
But me personally I rode mtbs in Laguna beach today and now I’m drinking margaritas, so whatever.![]()
