I can see Tomac racing Lawrence and Roczen one way - by backing some and letting them race. He has won plenty. But some of these other guys... Why does Prado need to back off. And did Sexton back off himself initially? He's in no position to settle for anything.
Seems like Thomas insinuated his darling was affected by Prado?
Hunter may have been impacted by Prado catching up, but that doesn't make it his fault. Hunter folded and very understandable with that immense pressure.
Prado has every right to try to win the race.
Agreed. In Hunter’s shoes, the fact that it was Prado breathing down his neck probably made it worse - given the tension between them, but the blame for those mistakes are on Hunter.
But let’s also remember to credit Hunter for the phenomenal season. Thanks HJ for being so respectful, and taking it down to the wire.
I can’t imagine anyone else in the field, in that situation, running a wheel in there except Prado. Sexton said himself that he was sitting back and waiting to see what happened. But Hunter made the mistake, so that’s on him.

Prado had every right to do it, would he have done it to Kenny, I don't think so but he had the right to race Hunter how he did, would anyone else do it in that situation... Nope, they sit back and let it play out.
If the AMA upheld their own rules Hunter would be champion right now.

Done what to Ken? Prado did absolutely nothing wrong. He shouldn’t have to sit behind anyone and let the guys behind him catch up. He’s racing to win like everyone else. Jorge didn’t make any stupid or dirty moves on Ken or Hunter. And I don’t think he would have. He was just out there doing his job, racing.

Prado was fine. Sexton and Prado were pushing and catching 94 and 96. They cant exactly just chill.

Prado literally was just riding behind him. He didn’t even make him adjust lines or anything, he didn’t block pass, he didn’t even stick a wheel in, what the fuck was he supposed to do? He was getting pressure from behind, if he slowed down he gets passed and ran over by 5 riders.

Kenny broke Hunter. That last lap or two before the crash Kenny was really hitting all his marks. Roczen won the championship in the mud races.

Agree, Prado did nothing wrong. I do think he made Hunter change his process. Hunter was going to try to wait Ken out. And it likely would have worked. But I just re-watched that part of the race and you can visibly see Hunter decide he needed to pressure Ken right then, not with 5 min to go… because Prado was really close. Hunter upped his intensity and then the mistakes came.
I think Hunter probably had that plan, but Ken was starting to pull away and Prado was catching up so Hunter thought he needed to go faster and he probably did.

There is some depth to this Prado thing guys...and who would have thought he would have had an effect on this SX championship tonight?? This goes way back to a beef that was started by Jett when Prado came over, which eventually spilled into a Lawrence Brother beef, and ever since then Prado has been waiting for a moment to dish it back to them. It was 100% Prado's intention to get in there and not only rattle Hunter, but also help Kenny. And it worked.
Next thing Prado wants to do is get back at Jett in the outdoors, which could easily result in more fireworks.

Prevailing Vital wisdom says Prado does/should fade. He doesn't race forward - remember? Sexton, everyone else OK you can race forward.
Amazing race and start by Ken in the main. Kenny played to his strengths and got to the lead, and made Hunter ride a little more aggressive on a slippery track to catch him. Props to Hunter, Ken, CS, ET, CW, JC, and Prado, 1 of the best series in a while. Prado did nothing wrong.
Storybook ending for KR94.
The Prado drama is one of the best things going. He's shown some serious talent this year and we're about to see him in his actual element. The sport is better with guys who fans love and hate
