I appreciate that he doesn't seem to make excuses or deny what's going on, he just doubles down on his decisions. That kind of conviction is rare in this sport.

Between the thread title on the heels of this weekend and your post I feel like this thread is some sort of alternate universe. Prado gained fans and doesn't make excuses? Far out, man . . .

Prado is a great rider and it is awesome that came here to race. One thing for sure he knows how to block. Sometimes its a little dirty but he is on his way to being a top 5 to 7 rider in sx.

I know everyone is so excited for Jett and Deegs, but I really think Deegs and Prado are going to have multiple run ins this summer. Prado is a great starter who can fade a bit and Deegs charges ahead all moto. They are going to cross paths and I think it's going to be fireworks

Well, Webb is notoriously hard to pass.
We cant argue that.  Now he points the finger at Prado.
I think Kenny got by Prado fairly quickly.

I personally don’t see Prado fading like we see in supercross, doesn’t have a history of it in the GPs. I’m not surprised to see it in his first full season of supercross, but no excuses for him in outdoors.

F**k me, these sports "fans" are beyond me. We call it "racing", but most of you here want a guy who, as part of his racing strategy, purposely makes himself hard to pass, to NOT be hard to pass!

If this were F1, MotoGP, SBK or even club racing, it would be considered a skill, but not here apparently.

I'm not talking cross jumping, anyone who does that on purpose is a cock. But just being hard to pass, come on. Webb, Anderson, Barcia and others have made a career out of it!!!

Kenny and Hunter both got by him fairly quickly, because it’s just as Jorge said; if they’re having trouble getting past him, they need to be faster.

Yeah i don't know what the fuss is about. Prado kept the distance to Tomac steady, and for the most of the main he kept the distance between himself and Webb steady.
Webb didn't have the speed to pass Prado without Prado making mistakes.

I get that Webb was frustrated. But i'm 100% sure that the root of the frustration lies in the fact that Webb has been off pace for 95% of the races this year, during a year when he expected himself to win the title.

He's like a younger more improved version of Vince Friese.

Prado taking The Mike Alessi SX techniques into 2026 ( Holeshot, Fade, Block).

Yeah not to shit on Webb but outside of defending champs getting hurt this has to be one of the most underwhelming title defences we’ve seen. His lone win came at a triple crown where he didn’t win any of the individual races and was fortunate that others had issues.

Accumulating fans ??

Doubt that.

Anyone with eyes can see he was holding up Tomac Saturday during the main.

Listen carefully to his post race presser comments.

Doubt they're buddy buddy back at the hauler.

Not to mention how he's roadblocking everyone, resulting in everyone else resorting to barcia like passes on the guy.

Hunter's decisive pass early on in the main.

Webb's pass attempt after he clogged up the pack behind him.

All made even worse by him tossing anchor after the top guys eventually pass, and drop him like a rock.

My BEST technique in the 90's arenacross was to get the holeshot or top 3, then block like a mfkr for the 5-6 lap main. Stacked up the trophys with that strategy. 🤪 If they didnt like it, they could figure out how to beat me to the first turn!! Haha!!

What was the problem when he was racing in Europe and the Europeans said the same things about him?

Cooper Webb's blocking of his own teammate was worse that what Prado did to him.

Also, "Coop" should probably look in the mirror

America has been very supportive of foreign riders. I'm not sure where that is coming from, probably a hate America for all things in the world.

I think if this were turned around and Prado was coming up on Webb, Webb would (as he did JCoop) do everything to keep Prado behind him.

I don’t mind it. However he is not making any alliances riding like this. Emig was a similiar rider, riding a wide bike. Only thing he needs to focus on is intensity, and stamina in a 20 minute sprint. He has starts down pat. However bikes are always changing.

Webb is (not) out of this championship

Looks like you posted this after the main event in Denver?

Webb was mathematically eliminated from the championship as of the completion of the Denver main event with 297 points. Roczen has 332 points, and a win only pays 25…

People complained he was giving up, now they're complaining he's racing people to hard, pick a lane lol

If he wins a heat race, then he's fast enough

Apart from the time when a large proportion of US fans turned on Jett Lawrence and started booing the shit out of him at every race. That was at the beginning of 2024...
