The bike is in a bad spot and he is out there cruising at 80-90%. He is basically doing what Prado did last year outdoors at most rounds, cruising within the limits of the bike and rider combination.
The qualifying sessions were brutal, it looked like he was riding with a massive hangover because there was zero aggression in the riding.
This is the new normal for Chase. Fact is he completed a race. That’s a win. It’s not great. Everybody wants great things from him and they are paying him a lot of money to do great things, but hopefully he’ll smooth out and we’ll kind of forget about him.

I just watched Romain Febvre come from 38th gate pick to holeshot a stacked gate in Trentino. That KX was barking
Went last to 7th in first moto, 3rd and 4th. Dropping to 4th made zero difference in his overall. No reason to fight joey. Maybe he learned after last years brain fart.
Two good starts has to be the most promising thing. If he could start starting top 5 consistently, his problems will mostly start going away. He looked good for the most part out there in all three motors.
Savatgy isn't doing outdoors but if Chase is battling a guy of Joey's caliber come Pala I'll be worried. Chase has been pushed off the podium in mx since '22. Really you expected him to be 1st or 2nd. This summer is definitely looking more stacked, thats for sure.
Kawi not looking great in the GNCCs this year either. Stew had another dnf today due to a bike issue.
Maybe KX is only meant to be used to skim the pond

Just reading Steve’s Obs piece at RacerX, rumblings of Sexton exiting his contract early.
Not a good look for either party if true. I guess it’ll validate some of Prados concerns from last year if it does come to pass.
