keeping everything in a closed in-house ecosystem is not unique to Deere. Apple did the same thing. I've owned a couple compact utility tractors and always go Kubota over Deere, but I can say the local Deere dealer (10 minutes away) has great parts and customer service people and I buy generic stuff there. My nearest Kubota dealer is 75 miles away and I use them for stuff that needs to be Kubota and can't get elsewhere.

So I contested it with FedEx, they replied with the same bill and asked if I saw any discrepancies, after I detailed my discrepancies in the original email. I repeated that my motorcycle isn't a class 3-8 truck or bus so the 25% tariff doesn't apply. They replied to that one saying the tariffs have been deemed illegal and to take no action until FedEx finishes a review on the supreme court ruling. What a cluster... So if I had just paid instead of contesting it would I have been refunded my $95?
Yep I just served a ban for saying something not even intended to be political. I informed ML512 of this thread, just to see if our officiating consistency here surpasses that of the AMA, but maybe this form of politics is allowed? I know he's busy and I know being a forum mod is a pita but yeah.

I asked my Fedex driver if I was going to get a tariff bill on an insta360 camera and mic I ordered that was right around the time they put them in place last year and ended the small purchase exceptions. The camera came from the US but a mic I ordered with it was out of stock and shipping from China. I was worried I was going to be paying triple the price for it since that was when Trump had the tariff from China up over 140% . And if I had to pay that much more it would make sense to buy a different brand and model that would be more useful anyway.
The driver called his supervisor who put him on with somebody else, and then another person had to call him back to give me an answer. I could tell that he gave me a different answer than whatever they told him. I don;t know what they said. But he said to just claim I never got the item and not pay it. I never got a bill , so I think at that time they still didn't know what was going on yet with stuff. I got the camera in before the cut off but the mic came after and the tracking showed it come into the US, then go back to china, then come back into the US and to me. It was strange .
