That race was great. To bad it was a exhibition race. maybe the worse thing that ever happened to RV because everyone thought he was the new RC. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Same thing happened to BT101. The kid had a great weekend at a exhibition race vs RC and people wanted to build a legend off of a race that did not matter.

The bears are leading 7-0. hate those guys
im just saying the kid has no problem with east coast soil....RC stature? No-one has come close to RC not even JS. I mean the kid never lost an outdoor championship...ever. I say give RV some time before you start placing him in the history books or removing him RMZ

each rider was doing what they should be doing.

I wonder if the BIG KX corners as well as James' YZ

if Ryan would be able to catch James, and now we all know the answer. James won the race tonite, but in Ryan's head he won the war. I'm so excited for the races where he doesn't crash. So far this year James only wins when RV2 crashes.
this might be the stupidest post I have ever read. No logic...

by ur logic, 7 won the war last week, he started last and finished within 5 sec of 2 and 5, Catching up is good enough right?

2 never passed him, never really got close enough to make a pass, and 7 wasn't going to make a mistake, he was smooth and even paced...how you gonna beat a guy that can go slow and steady and hold the pace, especially when you know he could have turned up the intensity and dropped a few tenths...

i doubt seriously that 2 feels like he won anything, except a 2nd place trophy...do you think 7 felt much of a victory when finished 2nd to 4 all those times...doubt it...

For the same reason James would sit behind RC for most of the race only to make a pass at the very end. It gives him time to wait for the other guy to make a mistake and make it easy on him. If the mistake doesnt come, he will wait and take him right at the end to avoid showing the good lines and having the other guy possibly come back. You watch the races. This is the norm now. RV said himself he was just sitting behind James waiting on a mistake. He just fucked up and made the mistake himself. On the same corner where James went down earlier.

I said it was the changing of the guard. Which in my opinion, it was. Tonight proved that. Yes he won, but he also found out that at least one guy can run him down and sit on him waiting for a mistake. I'll put it this way, in the battle of confidence, tonight did a whole lot more for RV then it did for James. James knows he has a guy who can match his speed and can get a start. Ryan knows he is that guy. James has never had to deal with that in Supercross. Only in the Nationals. We all know how the constant pressure worked out there for James. From here on out, Ryan will never accept that he is slower then James.

You obviously don't pay attention. It's only straight up if James wins. How long have you been here? Remember that the "straight up" term was invented by James fans and can only be used for him, not against. Same thing as the "*".

I am a huge fan of them both. Amazing racers and giving us the show we are after. I just listened to Matthes post show and I think I heard RV say he was behind him and even if he did not fall the gap probaly would not have changed.

If you watch the replay of RV's crash, you will notice how close he was to James. Real close, at that point, he may have been pushing too hard to make something happen, I'm sure he learned something there.

BTW. Dungey almost lost the front end in the same spot, but, saved it.

Should be some great racing this year.

I think if the shoe would have been on the other foot (i.e. james crashing behind RV), James probably would have still caught Ryan and at least challenged him for the win. James seemed to be riding quite conservatively, and that is scary. I was really hoping everybody would have caught up to James' speed, but they haven't.

If the only two that can win are James and Villomoto it will be kinda boring, imo.

As far as the championship is concerned, James HAS to get consistent good starts this year because even from 9th or tenth he will be lucky to run down RV and RV will always be there on the start.
