Accused of sabotaging the San Felipe 250 course by placing large boulders on the course. You guys following this one ? What's your thoughts ?
Did a competitor sabotage the SCORE San Felipe 250?
Poll
Following this since it came out on RDC forum when he was caught.
Even if Toby didn't do it himself, team members did. As Driver of Record Toby is responsible for his team's actions. Just how it works.
With everything out there, Toby still hasn"t denied any of the accusations.
We will never be privy to all of the info out there, but there was more that the CRB had than just the short video where he popped out from hiding behind his CanAm that Justin Morgan filmed.
Heard he got DQ'd for the race.
If I was race control, he'd be parked until next year if the investigation proves his involvement.
Weirdest thing ever, I still don’t know what to think.
for those that race SCORE, is this a usual thing in prerunning? either sabotaging, or making hot lines? i know in dust to glory they talk about spectator made bobby traps,

I don't race SCORE, I stick to State side stuff (BITD/UNLTD) but no, sabotaging lines is NOT normal at all. Now,, finding hot lines and masking them if you can while prerunning by throwing a bit of brush in front? Common.
The smoking gun in all of this would be the SD card in the GPS of that CanAm. Brent would have marked the rock piles put out there as additional dangers on their file to remember which alternate lines to take.
Have friends who race SCORE and what locals would do is build jumps. But just like the kids down the street that throw plywood over a log for their bicycles the building isn't quite ideal. So you get big kickers aka boobytraps. It is nowhere near as common now as it used dto be.
I'm sure it's the first time he's done it.
I have raced the entire SCORE series on a bike, NO. The usual thing in prerunning is to remove rocks that could be race enders. Making a hot line? Yes, but nothing that puts your fellow racer at risk and you usually hide the hot line. Desert racing is like a family, everyone helps each other out. This is just gross behavior.
Makes a guy wonder about who may have messed with Brabec's suspension at the 2019 dakar....
Back in the 70s 80s you'd hear all the time, the locals would dig big holes or other such nonsense, so when your running the course and see a fair sized group of locals you'd have to slow down and look for the booby trap they laid. Lots of injuries due to those booby traps.

Damn.
Woke up today to memes about Verstappen retiring at the end of the season. Then remembered the date.
Then saw this.
Unfortunately not an April fool's story.
This whole thing makes me really sad...I'm not ready to throw Toby completely under the bus here, but his response is really bizarre (e.g. "they didn't meet the burden of proof, so I'm innocent"???). It seems to me that if someone put my entire reputation at risk over spurious allegations I'd be fighting like a dragon to prove them wrong. Who cares about "burden of proof"...either you sabotaged the course or you didn't - end of story.
If true, the fact that he is a dirt biker himself (and the leaders on the SLR Honda are the ones that are almost certainly going to be at the highest risk to hit that crap) just makes me sick to my stomach....
What a crazy story this is! 😳
Watched Justin’s video. I don’t know how there’s any questions left…?
At the drivers-riders meeting they filled us in on what had happened; but, not “who”. We got to hear about Toby and see that video as we were celebrating at the finish (won ProMoto-60).
Has Red Bull made an announcement…yet?
Nicely done, lads!
Sounds like both have walked away from the sport in disgrace, just before being shown the door.
And congrats on your result.
I hope Red Bull doesn’t walk-away from SCORE…?
That would suck. They’ve been a part of it for a while and have had some amazing wins.
I meant price and his co driver.
Right now, of redbull is still going to remain in F1, with the disaster it's become, it'll take more than toby being an idiot to make them bail.
I doubt any serious fan lays any of this on redbull.
