I know he has been beaten up plenty but...
First of all, way to go Tony and Mike on reaching an agreement on how things will work in the interest of improving things. If things weren't working together, make some changes. Especially way to go Mike on making that tough decision.
BUT second of all, damn Tony sounds resentful about it. Holy crap, it almost sounds like he wants to see Mikey continue to struggle just to prove that Roger D isn't as great as everyone was saying!?! Did I hear it wrong on the podcast?

Hold your damn hand up if you think Mikey & Andrew would have better results on
KTM SX 250's ? ( Two-strokes)
Hand in air. Like I just kinda care.

they'll do better on a 350f than a 250
All signs point to Mike riding the 450 better, if Mike pulls a holeshot he'll win outdoors, he pulled one start all season and won the moto on the 350! You can pretty much guarantee that his results improve on the 450.
I think that will be proven next year... or this summer if KTM can get their 2012 EFI 450 over here in time for the nationals, hell or even let him run the carb 2011 because he'd do better on that!
But if he does better, (which he will) the 350 will look bad and KTM doesn't want that.. either way once Mike is on a different 450 team next year the 350 will look bad so KTM might as well put him on their own 450 to prove that bike can win at least lol
And I cant say that I blame him. If everybody thinks Rogers way is better than Tonys, then perhaps takeing a season off from being involved with Mike might say something. But really, at the end of the day, i think Mikes results this year will have nothing to do with Roger or Tony, but rather the 350.
I also found it interesting what he had to say about Jeff, and the way he said it....about Jeff asserting himself. It was a "feel sorry for Jeff" sort of feeling I got. Like his Dad doesnt really respect him. For the record, I always thought Jeff had more potential with better style then his brother. I wish the guy could breakout and do something.
One of the main jobs a Man has is to protect his Family and publicly bashing your kids falls way short of the mark.
Hmmmm....tried that just to check and I get a "not found", but when I go to PulpMX it's fine at this URL

Pit Row
At least one thing is for sure, I'm gonna be rooting for the 800 like never before.
Either Roger has improved his bike or has helped improve mikey, either way he's leaps and bounds in front of where he was a couple months ago.
I hope he pulls it together and smashes a massive holey this weekend to get the haters off KTM's back.
There is no way Mike could have improved him self.
If Mike turns into a fucktard, is that Rogers doing also?
decoster has coached how many champions?
tony alessi has coached how many champions?
yeah, thats what i thought
i would pick rog over tony any day of the week
None of us know, he's riding miles better than he was here and that's all that matters.
Sobadass has marketed himself incredibly.
A question that comes to my mind:
What will Tony/Mike/Jeff's lives be like after racing if they do not become the great champions that Tony has envisioned? I see a lot of ways this could end, many of which are unfortunate.
Everybody loves an underdog except if it's from Austria. I can not figure out why so many people on this forum feel threatened by the idea of 350's or by KTM in general.
From a pro perspective KTM is stepping up and is a very important contributor to the racing scene when the big four is having trouble financially. Anyone of the big four is more likely to drop their mx effort than KTM since it's just a small part of their business.
A small company like KTM (compared to the big four) actually has the widest range of bikes for most ages and levels, and they present more innovations alone than the other four together.
Is KTM a touchy subject since it's a "euro" brand, and it's get mixed up in the AMA vs FIM thing because of that?
I guess they have acheived something by having a bike different to the cookie cutter 450's but it hasn't worked out yet.
