Hunter isn't beating Jett.  Jett has next level speed above the guys who have next level speed, and he would be beating everyone in sx right now if he were racing.

I'm sorry but no he didn't 'defend' for Jett.. Just because he's in second doesn't mean he's stopping or making it hard for other riders to get around him.. 

I said it another thread I'll gladly accept that's a biased take by me if someone can show ANY evidence of it happening 

I remember in 2024 when Jett got hurt outdoors and Chase won in his absence. And everyone saying he wouldn’t be back up to speed for SMX, Chase has won 6 in a row, no way Jett beats him. Jett wins off the couch. He’s honestly just that much better 

Exactly, in 22 the battle of Eli and Chase all season till the final race, Noone thought Chase would lose 22-0 to Jett the following year

The way Jett can run the pace, then turn it on for 2-3 corners and make up multiple bike lengths/make a pass and go is something no one else can do. That burst of speed when he needs it and can just turn it on at will is a freaky thing. He doesn’t need to do it for a lap, or a whole race. 

The closest thing imo is the crazy shit we have seen in Kenny’s opening laps. Especially outdoors. It’s like they are on x1.5 speed, then they turn it down again. 

Must be an incredible feeling. 

Eli’s ‘Beast mode’ and Stewables are a different category. To me anyway. All amazing nevertheless.

Yeah I mean the oil crisis and price of fuel has everyone worried, Jett included.

Multi-millionaire multi-time champ 23 years old worried? Pretty certain he doesn't lose sleep.

I remember in 2024 when people said the exact same thing about Sexton after Jett got injured and he started winning outdoor races and the championship. "Chase found a new level", "We have never seen Chase like that before", "Jett should be worried about Chase", "There is no way Jett beats this version of Chase at SMX". 
What happened? Jett came back with two weeks on the bike and spanked everybodys ass at SMX. And it was basically the same last year after his ACL. I truly believe at this point he will win every championship where he doesn't crash out. Jetts only real threat to championships are his injuries sadly. But we have clearly seen over the last couple years that he's injury prone and I truly believe that Hunter will win more than just one 450 title because of this. 

Until this weekend I was sure we haven't seen the best version of Hunter yet, but this was his most complete version yet. If he keeps this form up, good luck to everyone else not named Jett.

Yeah the "roadblock" talk is very weird. He was clearly the 2nd fastest guy specially last year most of the motos. There has been multiple motos where he passed Tomac and gapped him, just didn't have enough pace to match Jett. Hunter was clearly pissed a couple times that he couldn't match his brother. Anyone who called Hunter a roadblock doesn't pay attention to the racing lol.

To be honest, I'm really fucking impressed with Hunter. Until his last 250 year where he won both titles, I've never thought that he would rise to this level someday. He always had speed, but the amount of crashes, injuries and setbacks he had. To have the mindset to come back from almost retiring to winning two titles on the 250 and then becoming one of the absolute top guys on the 450 and also having this consistency. It's special, not gonna lie.
