Might as well go out with friends and try not to get too drunk to remember the race when I get home then Blink

You guys really shouldn't post links on here til way later.. Feld has people looking for any and all illegal webcasts of the race and will shut down any one they find.

How do you know this and why would they want to do this? Wouldn't rebroadcasts, commercials and all be good for them and the sponsors? More exposure.

My slingbox will be streaming it. Already spoken for, though.

Almost bought one last night. I'm trying to put together a stream as well.

Because last year I streamed on a few occasions on justin tv and got shut down a dozen times by felds geek squad. Feld doesn't want there product being shown free.

My slingbox rawks! I picked it up on eBay for less that $100. I got the older "tuner" variety that has a built-in NTSC tuner which is perfect for our basic cable connection. The one downer is they charge $30 for the iPad player, while the pc player is free. So I just haul out the laptop to watch things. The quality is pretty darn good with a decent broadband connection.

It doesn't matter when we post the link because they cant shut the stream down when it hasn't started. And if they cant find a link here now they will probably be back @ 10pm...

Maybe if they let people from outside the US be able to watch it live, people wouldnt have to be illegal!

I don't know better. I don't know how it could hurt Feld in any way. It could only help them in every way I can imagine. They're getting their product to many more eyes "for friggen free". Why would they want to shut that down unless they are a little slow in the noggin? I suppose I could be missing something but so far nobody has been able to explain to me how rebroadcasting the free TV broadcast would harm anyone. You would think the more people that can see it would generate that many more fans and ultimately add that many more butts to seats at the stadium when the show comes to a nearby town. Then again, I could be a little slow in the noggin myself for not understanding the issue.

It hurts SPEED also. They, as a company, still have to foot the bill for some of it. If you're watching it for free, a.k.a. not paying them to watch it, they are losing money theoretically. They want you to purchase their product through the cable company not watch it free.

The European fans and non cable subscribers like me really need to lobby for the use of SPEED2.com to non cable subscribers. Let us pay maybe $10-20 a month for the use of SPEED2.com and show the Live races on there also (as well as re runs). Today it looks like all they're showing live is the GT1 World Championships year in review which will be over by the time A1 starts. As it stands right now only certain people can use it with select cable companies and you use your cable account info to access it. It would be an easy way to grab some extra cash from the LARGE number of non North American fans who want to see it.

http://www.slingbox.com/

Streams are limited to one viewer at a time. However, if someone was watching at home, they could let someone else guest into their slingbox, hint, hint.

It is one at a time. But if I'm not using mine, I can allow a (single) guest to use my stream. If a bunch of people on the board had one, they could simply allow others to use theirs when they weren't.
