If you were asking 100 "Dems" if he is guilty of a crime based on what we think we know along with what we definitely don't know ?And should he be treated differently because he is accused  ?

What would the answers overwhelmingly be vs the reversed scenario ?

That was simply an attempt at humor.

I'm not offering any opinion on this subject.

You already gave one opinion and called it a joke. I figured I would ask.

Fair enough.

I rarely remember who posts some of the “WTF are you thinking” threads. At this point, hopefully he can just admit he either needs glasses or he was impaired when he was posting.

If he triples down, I’ll definitely remember his screen name. 😆

nice thread... LOL

charges were dismissed... we will Never know what happened... other than El hombre and his ole lady have issues and problems controlling their emotions....

I had a buddy get clipped for DV a couple years ago... he got a divorce shortly after... i never asked him about it.. why?? cause his old lady whizzed a beer bottle past my head at a party a few months before that after i made a snarky remark to her...

moral of the story... we don't know what was going on... and never will.. time to move on.. charges dropped = get on with your life...

I want to know what the rest of someones life looks like if they had a "buddy get clipped for DV and I never asked him about it because his ole lady whizzed a beer bottle by my head" lol

These threads really do reveal some wild takes that some guys sincerely believe are "normal"

Yeah. If you ever wonder why people are afraid to come forward about abuse because they won’t be believed, just cruise through this thread.

I wanna know what some of you guys lives are like too.

I mean is it all just hot yoga classes? Weekly book club meetings? Mindfulness sessions and cooking Quinoa with your girl on Saturday night while sipping Chardonnay?

I do yoga almost every day, love to read, frequently meditate, love quinoa, but don’t drink alcohol.
You should try one of them sometime.

Not being sarcastic or mean. I think just about anyone would enjoy.

Sounds kind of boring but I'm cool with how you are and it sounds very healthy and grounded.

There are times when I wish I had a different brain, like yours, but in the end I like cracking jokes, being silly, having a good back n forth with someone over a topic. I honestly do not know how people can turn their brain off to meditate. I'm a guy who it is basically impossible to take a nap.

And though I have never laid hands on a woman, I like a passionate woman. A gal that can laugh and isn't always consumed with order and tasks that must be accomplished.

And yes I have had quinoa....my shoe throwing vegetarian wife cooks it sometimes 😄

We are similar people. It’s hard to turn your brain off and not think of anything. Like anything else in life, it’s difficult and takes lots of practice.

The DARVO-laden copium in this thread is really something. Speaking from experience, thyroid issues do not make you beat your significant other/wife/whoever. That is one of the most ridiculous things I think I’ve ever read. Regardless of what led up to him abusing his wife, he failed to regulate his emotions appropriately by making conscious choices that led to those actions. Fuck all victim blamers.

First and foremost I'm happy that you have no anger neither mental issues due to your thyroid problems. Also I condemn what JA21 did, if I didn't said that before or it wasn't clear then it is now. But I've also said that the team should've handled this better, they should've said something about his thyroid problems, because here are a few medical and sub-medical publications that talk about how thyroid problems can affect your mood. This from having deep depressions, anxiety attacks and serious anger issues...

Verywell Health – Thyroid Imbalance: Mood Swings, Anger, What to Expect – Explains how both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can cause mood swings, irritability and anger, and notes that treating the thyroid often improves these symptoms.

Mayo Clinic – Thyroid disease: How does it affect your mood? – Describes the emotional effects of thyroid disorders, highlighting anger and irritability as common complaints when hormone levels are abnormal.

PubMed Central – The Role of Illness‑Related Beliefs in Depressive, Anxiety, and Anger Symptoms: An On‑line Survey in Women With Hypothyroidism – Research article showing that women with hypothyroidism frequently report anger alongside depression and anxiety, and discusses possible psychosocial mechanisms.

CommonSpirit Blog – Is Thyroid Disease Behind Your Mood Swings? – Highlights how thyroid imbalances can manifest as anger, irritability, and other mood changes, and advises readers to get tested if they notice these symptoms.

Graves’ Disease and Thyroid Foundation – What’s Wrong With Me – Patient‑focused bulletin that lists anger and emotional outbursts among the possible symptoms of an over‑active thyroid (Graves’ disease).

Harvard Health – Is thyroid hormone causing my recent mood changes? – Explores how both excess and insufficient thyroid hormone can lead to anger, agitation, and other mood disturbances, with guidance on monitoring hormone levels.

WebMD – Is My Medical Condition (or Medicine) Making Me Angry? – Specifically addresses how an overactive thyroid can provoke anger and irritability, linking hormonal imbalance to emotional regulation.

Medical News Today – Symptoms of Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) – Lists mood changes—including anger—as a symptom of hypothyroidism and explains why thyroid hormone deficits affect emotional wellbeing.

Endocrine News – Thyroid News and Research Articles – Aggregates recent research on thyroid disorders; several articles examine the link between thyroid hormone levels and mood‑related symptoms such as anger.

There are normal levels of T3 and T4 hormones that your doctor wants to see on your chart, and then there is a range within that which is “normal to you,” where your only option is to feel it out by changing dosages, when you take your medication, or even how often you take it, in an effort of finding a balance that is personal to your own sense of homeostasis.

I did not say I don’t have any mental or physical issues due to my condition. The fact of the matter is they do exist, there have been ebbs and flows, and it’s been tough at times. I’ve been tough to deal with at times. My partner can attest to this. My point is, I’ve never even so much as raised my hand at her, and I never would. Jimmy Carr has a joke about beating your wife being as senseless as keying your own car, and while it’s much less humorous in the context of this conversation, I find that to be a very true — even insightful — statement.

I’m speaking somewhat ominously about specifics because I don’t feel the need to put my business out there nor am I seeking pity. With Anderson being as much in the public eye as he is, I can appreciate that he might not either. If he doesn’t want the details of his thyroid condition to be out there, why would it then be the responsibility of his team to inform people on his behalf? To appease the curiosities of a few moto nerds on the internet? That aspect of your comment is confusing to me.

Where my opinions on this situation diverge from respecting his privacy come down to the events that unfolded and the type of conduct, that are now public record. The police report clearly spells out his wife’s truth. People need to be aware of how bringing up his medical issues that can effect emotional regularity (and not his ability to understand what is right and what is wrong, and not his ability to make conscious choices to turn emotions into violent physical altercation), are harmful to her and all victims of domestic violence. She can rescind her statement if she wants to, she hasn’t, not showing up to court doesn’t mean she has, because that is what happened. That needs to be accepted until she says otherwise herself.

I can assure you half the links you shared are resources that people with thyroid conditions are acutely aware of. Which in Anderson’s case, just make all of this worse.

Going on 42 years of marriage. Wife and I have never lay’d  a hand on one another other than affection. Raised 4 kids together. Of course we’ve had many heated arguments over the years and stressful situations like everyone has. But never any DV. Still go’n strong. 🙂

It’s wild the lengths people will go to to defend bad behavior.

Why would he make a statement taking on full accountability for his actions, and then the wife takes back what she said?
Something doesn’t add up.

She dropped the charges BECAUSE he took accountability for his actions.
