After watching that I have to say that I think James has really steped it up as a professional as a whole. He presented himself well and Im sure alot of people watching that have become a fan.
Ryan seemed like he was nervous but still did well.

I get the feeling that James is very confident and I think everybody is in trouble Saturday night. I also think Omar was almost excited as I am about this seasons racing.

Did I catch that right last night when Dungey said his brother Blake? is only going to ride for fun and started a new clothing line? I thought I heard somewhere that his brother was supposed to be even better than Ryan.

From what I understand, Omar is related to someone who works in the Salvation store, spends a lot of time around the Spectrum, and is well-known there. Apparently he also really likes the WWE. I saw him watching videos on an iMac at the back of the store (where they were scanning the live chat on Facebook for questions).

I'd also say he's every bit as intelligent as some of the posters I see here.

As for the performance on Vital, here's the scoop. Our programmers have been working on a complete top to bottom recode of the site, and had hoped to have it in place before the weekend. I've seen some back-to-back comparisons of the new and old version of our MTB site, and the difference is pretty staggering. Give it another week or so, and thinks should improve quite a bit around here. You WILL notice the difference when we make the change over.

And yes, growth is part of it. Last month we had nearly 250,000 unique visitors (in what's traditionally a slow month), which also dwarfs the circulation of some of the print magazines out there.
omar was a riot and more captivating than many people on here.

the show was actually pretty good and i enjoyed it. both those kids are pretty cool.

I had to get surgery on my chest because it was restricting my breathing a lot and I would get fatigued really early because of it. Had the surgery December 1st and I already feel 10 times better. I should be back on the bike in 2-3 months and hopefully back to racing soon. It's a long recovery so right now I'm focusing on my education. Got my GED and I'm studying for my ACT's. Just wanted to clear that up. haha

Oh, thanks for the update. I didn't know that. I wish you the best of luck and health in 2011. Didn't Ryan say that you started a clothing company?

I did. It's on hold now because I'm out here doing an internship. I don't want to take over the post so PM me if you want to talk about that. Proceed everyone...

Have you heard RC do a commentary? He's pretty darn good. Better than the other two jokers we get to listen to.

I was there and it was cool before it started James was just hanging out in the store, talking to fans, taking photos, pretty neat to just chat with him not in the pits at a race. The food was really good too!

That is cool that this site is seeing some decent traffic averaging 8,000 plus unique hit's a day.
Yeah, definitely speeding up your data base/scripts/mysql queries to use less bandwidth & server resources will help a lot on the busier days when you get swamped with mass queries.

I was there last night also. JBS was having a good time , talking and taking pictures with everyone before the event started.

Ryan came a little later but was just as cool after the event, taking pictures and signing autographs with JBS after the event.

You cannot watch or attend the event without having a newfound level of respect for both these young men.

Dungey sounds uneducated.

look in the mirror dumbass. what a rediculous thing to say on so many levels.

Sorry I must have insulted you too by making that statement. I just stated the obvious. When someone can't put a sentence together and says every other word that comes out of his mouth wrong, that person sounds uneducated to me. I didn't say he was uneducated, I said he sounds uneducated. I am a Dungey fan and I think you took this the wrong way. I know the kid has to be smart. I was just making an observation. Oh and while we are at it, it's ridiculous not rediculous. Good day!

I thoroughly enjoyed the show last night but unfortunately missed majority of it (OMAR!!). It was obvious James is more comfortable in front of a Camera/audience and it was also obvious Dungey was nervous, NOT UNEDUCATED. I enjoyed the questions, hated the interviewer (not Sal, hes cool as fuck). I think that little segment is exactly what the sport needs. More publicity and more interaction with the fans. I can't wait til this Saturday, it's going to be a WAR!!!!

I've always liked Ryan, but never really my favorite. I really didn't like the way he came in last year and dominated his rookie year. Maybe a little more envious of his instant success was my issue.
Anyways, I stood in the ridiculous line at the MXoN and got to meet him in person and now I have a completely different opinion of him. He's a really cool dude and this is what the sport needs. He was way more friendlier than Short and Canard were put together. We was walking all over the pits on Friday talking with fans, shaking hands, and enjoying the moment. He made the effort and was showing his appreciation. I hope this guys around for a long time.

Yep and that's how he was even as a small boy here in MN. Just a really really good kid on every level. You should have seen him on 80's jumpin' triples and laying it so far over in berms that your jaw dropped! He may have to get a little bit more aggressive this year though considering how rough RV Reed and JS play..But some how i just don't see that happeningSad He has always taken second before taking someone out.

Anyway i thought JS had no problem in front of the camera and seems years ahead in his comfort level of RD. If any of you have ever spent time in front of a camera and thousands of people you know how hard it is to spit out the right words, maybe JS has a future in the booth? Maybe a movie star!

Daily uniques are much higher than 8k... Simply dividing 250k by 30 doesn't give an accurate number. Someone who comes every day is a unique visitor each day, but only once for the month. Make sense?
