Election Integrity

Looks like they just got Rino Susan Collins to support the save act. They did have to take out the federal ID for each time to vote, but that's OK. Still have to show a state issued ID to vote and passport or birth certificate to register. It's a good step.

Good luck getting your toothless wonders  getting an official real id.  They can’t read or write.

What states can You register to vote in without ID?  I tried to find one. The only one that came up was North Dakota. They do not require people to register to vote. but ask for ID when You vote.

As far as I could find, there isn't any state that You can register to vote, and cast a vote without proof of who you are .

I find it strange that  You need ID to register to vote, but people make it sound like just anybody can go cast a ballot and have it counted.  Ballots do get rejected . Lots of mail in ballots are rejected when it looks like it could be from somebody other than the person registered. Like if a signature doesn't match. Or if somebody tries  voting twice , its setup to reject a second ballot.

From what I understand, the proposed legislation requires proof of citizenship not just an ID.

Many states issue ID's and DL's without any proof of citizenship, so if only an ID is required to vote then someone who is not a US citizen could vote.

This is an editorial from today's AZ Republic newspaper encouraging people to not support the SAVE act-

"The SAVE Act, a bill that is currently being considered by the Senate would require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote. This requirement could disenfranchise millions of Americans who don’t have easy access to birth certificates or passports. In Arizona, a lot of our families don’t have access to these kinds of documents. Married women who took their husband’s name would have to go through even more hoops to make sure their documents match their legal name since passports and drivers licenses won’t necessarily match their birth certificate name."

And yet, no outrage that those same docs (and more) are required for a "Real ID" to board and airplane....

I am hearing that black folks and a handful of white married women are not smart enough to get an ID…Even more difficult are dead people, this will disenfranchise them the most..

Asians…no problem..they are very capable of getting an ID…so are white men..

I had a tough time getting a copy of my Birth certificate when I renewed my Lic in 2020.  For some reason Ma required it to renew my Lic. I had to prove I was a us citizen . My original  birth certificate wasn't good enough. They changed the way they numbered them or something like that between when I was born and now.  They said my original didn't have the correct amount of numbers . And as a result the original is worthless .  I didn't get a real ID. I did register to vote in the new city I had moved to the year before.  It was in MA. and I was registered to vote in the town I had lived in for 39 or so years that was also in MA.

It took about 3 or 4 months to get through to the right person at the  town hall I was born in and make an appointment to go in person to get it. Only option was to go in person. I'm sure there are tons of small things like that issue I had , all over the country that might make it near impossible for somebody to get the correct ID. I imagine that if my birth cert wasn't modern enough and  I'm in my 40's , there is likely a lot of people who were in the same position as me.   I can't imagine how difficult it might be if somebody was unable to drive to the town they were born in.

Its funny how there is a low percentage of the population that can legally vote  that votes. And somehow there is supposed to be this giant group of illegal immigrants that even in a super blue state like ma. can not get most of the "free money" programs that people claim is the incentive for them to vote. And yet there are people that think that is happening on a level big enough to make a big impact on results.  To me it just seems so unlikely ,especially with there not being any proof of it ever happening on a level close to something that would impact results on the level that I see some people claim.

I think that the law will impact voter turnout. But not because  all the people who do not vote were not US citizens . It will be because of people not getting all they need under the requirements intime to vote. After a few election cycles it would level back off.

I can understand the need for making sure that only people who are legally able to vote have their votes counted. And I'm for making sure that happens. I just hope that  the fix doesn't break it worse than the broken system.

I have never understood why citizens don't vote.  If you can understand what you have read and follow instructions, the only things left are effort and patience to get registered.  Local governments have all the information needed for free and usually online, to do this.  Maybe just laziness or don't give a shittedness?  IMO you should not be able to bitch about what is going on in government (local, state or federal) if you didn't vote.

Elections are up to the state. If they feel there’s election fraud, then I guess it’s warranted. But making people vote in person with several forms of ID is going to require employees to take time off work to vote so unless you’re retired or have flexibility with your employer, could be tough. Many Republican voters work construction, oil field etc so be careful what you ask for.

Another thing to consider is that maiden names may not match birth certificate. So does that mean wife’s can’t vote? And everyone is required to have a real ID, wasn’t that the purpose of those?

I’m all for election integrity, my gripe is let’s not make it tougher to vote than it already is. It’s 2026 so I’m certain they can come up with something. What I don’t want is nationalized elections. That’s how Maduro’s get elected. Just my two cents.

I have never heard anyone complain about it being difficult to vote except Democrat politicians. Wonder why that is???

All I have to do is read "it's already been litigated and debunked", 12 years ago, those same people claiming this was "debunked" were the ones suppressing JE and covering that big lie. But go ahead and believe them now. And you'll always be on the wrong side of right.

That Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro all Trump lawyers pleaded guilty, says enough. Sidney Powell was by the way about the Georgia elections. But keep daydreaming and believing AONN, FOX and those other cesspit news channels that feed you propaganda like they did in the '30s and still do in Russia, Turkey and North Korea!

"I endeavored to represent my client to the best of my ability," she continued, saying she worked closely with other lawyers who provided her with information that she then told the media. "What I did not do, but I should, was make sure the facts that the other lawyers alleged to be true were in fact true. In the frenetic pace of attempting to raise challenges to the election in several states, including Georgia, I failed to do my due diligence."

Here's your choices,

1: you read this statement and plead guilty

2: we ruin your life and bleed you financially dry year after year after year. And throw you in jail for a while just because we can

Don't believe it? Ask General Flynn or Peter Navaro

Throwing people in jail just because you can, is that a problem? I don't hear you about that matter when it comes to wrongfully incarcerated United States citizens by ICE.

Also the plea deal in Georgia is accepted one day before the trail would've started. Maybe she took it, because it was hopeless to sell that idiotic "stolen election" story to a jury. A jury that would get all info about the safety mechanism and measures behind the elections and that they where checked and double checked.

However it is touching how, a man that only serves himself and his rich friends (if they give something in return), can count on your unconditional support and has your blind faith.

Sometimes you lose to fight another day.

Easier to fight outside than life in prison....

You don't have any idea how government prosecutions work. . . The least worst option is still a shitty shitty option.

Lol...... .

Tulsi was in Puerto Rico and examined and seized some voting machines used in 2020 election. Now the Georgia records and Arizona records are next . . .

It's about to be real spicy for some folks around here. . .

Peeps all excited about settlements make me laugh.... Who owns dominion now and why?

Jus' thinking about a few things.

For me, the right to vote should ONLY be extended to citizens of this country. It seems so simple, yet I think there are lots of people who disagree. Requiring proof of citizenship seems like the bare minimum.

Requiring that voters are citizens should not be controversial. The very reason for a democratic republic is so that the citizens of said republic get to choose their governance. If we allow other countries to vote in our elections, it is a corruption of national sovereignty.

What  next,  grab machines and ballots from Guam, the US Virgin Islands and Northern Mariana Islands.  Since they all have the same  ability to vote for a US president.  Might as well grab some from Canada to make sure too, maybe Mexico ....

Are people claiming that votes  for the 2020 president came from Puerto Rico somehow?
