He deffinatly dove in deep, with so much on the line, who in their right mind wouldnt?? Looks like the only thing that clipped Ryan is Trey's real wheel when it slipped out of his line. Thats racin!!

Great move by Trey. Looked like the contact wasn't very hard at all.

Thanks, Scottie.

My opinion? That's two guys going for a title.

Yep. I'm stoked that both of them wanted it that bad. Good for them.

Awesome move by Trey. Nothing wrong with that pass. They barely even touched. Totally different from the Sorby/Preston finish line incident from a few years back.

It didn't look any worse than the rub RV put on TC earlier in the clip.

I think RV would have stayed on the gas if it wasn't for the finish line structure. It looked like he got fixated on it.

Yes as always thanks for posting.

If that isn't racing then I don't know what is. I have been hit harder in practice. It's just an unfortunate spot to go off the track. If that was an intentional take out then the boy has some skill to do that by sliding out his rear wheel.

This is the first I have seen it... Not even close to a take out move IMO. RV was close to doing the same thing in the prior sequence on the vid clip, Trey just backed out a bit and saved it. Good racin', GREAT season! Can't wait for the outdoors...

It looked like to me that R.V could have let off and saved it but I am a Canard fan so I might have some foggy goggles on for this one.

An aggressive move but it doesn't look dirty. That's probably why the AMA let it stand. You don't want a title decided by the ref unless it is a really blatant take-out move. I think RV could have backed off and stayed up if it wasn't for the contact occurring right as you launch the finish line. Neither rider wanted to let off and have to roll it ... and hand over the resulting 5-10 bike gap to the other guy.

After coming from so far back in the points, getting so close to the title and then losing it that way, RV has every right to be disappointed. Let the kid blow off a little steam. Nobody appears to have even filed a protest.

I am suprised Villopoto didnt ride it out. I looked like there may have been a bit of room left. There was enough time for him to check up, smoke the brakes and roll the jump. Trey did!

I think the metal pole scared him into bailing out and throwing the bike away.

RV is very used to other riders letting off against him, just like RC. Canard did not lett off and so the game of chicken was on..........who lets off first. The sad part I beilive, RV could have let off, rolled that jump and hounded TC and more than likely wear him down and go onto win. But for sure, there was no penalty. The door was definately not wide open, but not a penalty either.

I agree. Not a take out move & he could have let off. Good hard racing & Canard gets props for stepping up. Hannah or Matasivich would have stuffed him into the cheap seats & not thought twice about it. Good job.

Lots of good opinions here. If I didn't love moto racing so Much I would say I can't wait till SX is over and the outdoors starts. But this has been the best SX season in 10 years.
