It's actually gotten better (on average). While it did go way up under the last administration, inflation is way down from the previous years (even trump haters have to admit that). I can fill my truck with gas for less than a Benny. Not possible in the Biden or Obama era. Average rents have gone down. Food had gone down. Some things are up but most of those things are not a weekly expense. Here in CA , energy and water are grossly high but that's a CA thing. I believe your getting your information from bad sources.
