The moto media I consume the most by a wide margin is podcasts. As many of the pods from the major players that I can manage to listen to between races. Also, this forum. In general I find conversational media the most entertaining I guess.
I also buy racer x mags when an issue looks interesting, or comes with a poster, or if I manage to find one at a store.
When it comes to non AV vital features. The features I like the best are data lab and social scoop. Social scoop is really nice for me because I don't like browsing social media much these days, and it complies all the most interesting stuff for me.
The "What we learned on Friday" video feature has also been awesome. Great little update before the race and always has unique scoops.
If I were to have one request, it would be to have "What we learned on Friday" uploaded as a podcast.
Podcasts and Vital. Still not a fan of video and/or audio interviews, though. Especially if on a desktop. I want to read the transcripts instead of listing to them.
Vital, RX, Pulp race review podcasts (not the main show), though less than in the past, and occasionally Cycle News online. Various MotoGP follows on BlueSky (no longer on X or Instagram).
I tend to stay away from video reviews and reports; just old fashioned in preferring to read and for me reading usually is quicker.
I read very little anymore. I dont subscribe to any magazines anymore.
I'm pretty much a Pulpmx guy, followed by Vital and Swapmoto in that order. I'll watch Mossiman interview guys on the MXA youtube channel sometimes and sometimes i will listen to JT$ on that livemoto channel, or whatever its called. I might listen to bits and pieces of Gypsey interviews.

I used to be a big Pulp listener, but I’ve only probably listened a handful of times in the last two years. It just got really repetitive and more and more of an advertisement focused show. I still listen to Steve’s race reviews when it was an intriguing race. Vital is my source for 95% of my Moto info these days.
I read MXA and Dirt Bike as I have since the 90s. They were the ones who brought me to the dance as it were, so I will read as long as they are publishing.
I watch the races and will usually pick one race-recap pod from one of the outlets per week.
The rest got to be too much, I don't need to hear endless takes on pro events.
My favorite part about Vital is the effort put into new bike launches and shootout season.
Vital, some rider Vlogs on Youtube, Pulps network of podcasts, Gypsy tales.
I like a mix of audio and written stuff depending on what it is. I listen to Pulp and Gypsy more often than I watch their video versions of their content.
I'll be listening to the podcasts and audio from videos while working and the video is more of a distraction sometimes. I will sometimes watch the videos after work. But I work in Moto so my life is already moto for most of it and I'll often relax with some non moto , motorsports on Youtube after work instead of more moto stuff.
I enjoy reading and writing replies here in the message board section.
I stay away from most of the content on Facebook since its turning into untrustworthy fake stuff more often than not. So much AI BS now. I guess thats what happened when they stopped trying to police fact from fake. Now it's mostly fake stuff that gets shared and I find myself debunking more posts and info on there than I find stuff I enjoy. If I didn't need it for work, I would likely never go on Facebook. I do see Vital posts here and there on FB and trust those and a limited few others. But FB has turned into the place to be for misinformation in my opinion. I prefer to go to trusted sites for info , sometimes to check out a post from FB to see if it has any truth to it or not. I'm thankful that Vital is doing a better job at policing the boards content than FB and the AI generated rumors don't get as much traction on here and go away quickly.
Every so often I'll go to Thumpertalk, MXA , and some other motomedia sites. But those above are my normal everyday multiple times per day content sources.
Pulp’s Podcasts
Any podcast Big Lew does on Vital/Pulp
Vital is the only media outlet where I will read written content of look at photos because it’s extremely well done.
I’ll listen to Swap Moto’s podcast when they have a good guest on.
Whiskey Throttle’s long form career retrospectives are also great
That’s about it. Like I said in another thread, I think Vital and Pulp have surpassed Racer X as the highest quality and most entertaining media outlets.
Vital for most news, interviews and forum ofc.
Pulp but only skipping to rider interviews pretty much.
Gatedrop for MXGP interviews (they're always short and straight to the point usually).
Gypsy for rider podcasts.
Matt Burkeen always has some great footage.
RacerX, but only Weege shows.
Main event moto with Blair, JB + AC and Bubbas world post race breakdown occasionally.
Vital and Youtube pretty much for any kind of moto media.
If I compare moto media to other sports we are absolutely blessed with the amount of content considering how small our sport is.
VitalMX daily, Pulp on Monday night 4-5 times a year. The moto podcasts on Youtube cant hold my interest for any time.
Vital, and D Blair's Podcast
I prefer to read interviews and insights vs videos
On Vital, mostly the Moto Related forum. Just about everything on Youtube: Pulp, Vital, AC & JB, Title 24, Swap, Burkeen are all frequent stops.
My view of Vital took a 180 for the better after the claim gate saga; it was refreshing to see ML and the Vital staff essentially do their own investigation of an incident the industry was collectively trying to forget altogether. It didn't have the mainstream noteriety of pro racing drama, yet the effort to pursue the truth happened anyway. If that's not investigative journalism done in good faith, I don't know what is.
The current staff at Vital is honestly great. Lewis is great for Pro racing scoops, Tokarski for testing/tech, and ML for a bit of both. I think you guys found a sweet spot, huge improvement over previous versions.
Other than that, I digest Blair's pods, Keefer for tech, Matt Burkeen on YouTube for race coverage/laughs. Pulp for pods of all types, with ReRaceables being at the top of the list for me.
There's not much else worth my time, in my opinion.
Vital is always my first. I cover the whole site... then in between I'm on YouTube for the quick edits from the other media. I like TwentyThree Media too.
Review podcast from vital and pulp. Mxgp podcast with Adam wheeler. Pulp show.
Tommy searle podcast with billy bolt is pretty good.
As far as YouTube I watch some of Matt burkeen vids which are fun.
I really miss the infield vids racer x of the nationals. No commentary just the sound of the bikes and crowd.
Also Jaume solar dose great vids of the gps and enduro world championships again with just the sound of bikes.
I’m self employed and work on my own most days so can just plod along catching up with weekends racing
Daily, Racer X, Vital MX, Swap moto live & Motocross action. Cycle News on Tuesdays. Listen to the Pulp Mx show on my drive in to work & back daily. Sometimes Gypsy tales and Whiskey throttle show. Watch the SMX preview show weekly and The AC/JB show now & then
I check into Vital several times a day for what I believe to be an accurate source for updates in the moto world.
I do go on X once in awhile just to see what’s happening in the moto world but I really do not care for that format
Podcast is what I listen to on drives or at work. I mainly listen to Pulp, whiskey throttle and Vital. Steve took a long time to get used to. At first I thought he was an arrogant know it all and had way too much Bro talk going on. Once I got used to his voice and no longer wanted to puke when I heard him, I have found him to be my favorite by far.
Gypsy Tales has some great guest with unfiltered interviews but I find the host tends to make the show too much about himself and not the guest.
The only Magazine I read is MXA. I used to love RacerX but have found it went downhill when the cover turned to a newspaper feel instead of a glossy magazine.
Instagram is hard to follow for me. For some reason half the content for me is several days old and only once in awhile do I get a current post on my feed. That is probably user error from a 66 year old.
I find myself checking into tictok to see videos of moto. It has a lot of garbage to sift through so that is not an every day thing for me
Pit Row
To read:
VitalMX daily for a few minutes to see if anything is going on...
Tuesday is for the new Cycle News.
Wednesday is for Steve Matthes Observation column on RacerX.
Friday is for DC's Racerhead column.
To listen:
Ping's Whiskey Throttle podcast if the guest appeals to me. For me, typically old school guests - DV, Wardy, Bob Hannah, etc. - are most interesting.
Maybe PulpMX if there is a hot topic or controversy from the recent race.
*Note: Hard though to commit three hours+ on these 'long form' webcasts so I break them up like most people I bet do. Leads me to ask the question, what's up with these 3 - 5 hour pod casts? There must be other shorter formats that are just as effective?
To Watch:
The week's live SX or National.
Special treat is to subscribe to watch the MXON.
Here, gypsy shorts if the guest is interesting.
Post race presser.
Cycle news.
Weege show is getting a bit old.
As is blair's top ten stories.
Other than that, I just tune in when the gate drops.
I'll try to stick to the question. But first I'll say that I don't enjoy a number of moto media due to subjectiveness, speech impediment and lack of depth or accuracy.
Visit: Pit Bits, What we learned on Friday, MXA Instagram, Gypsy Tales highlights, Supercross Voices
Enjoy: Technical content, Industry news
Always-
Everything Pulp. Matthes is great most of the time.
Vital Pods and content almost every day. Lewis and ML are creating great content.
Weege show Weege is awesome. If you disagree fuck you.
Matty B Great job catching everything that happens and his commentary is really fun.
Sometimes -
Whiskey Ping is sometimes a little off. GL is a wacko.
Daaark. Decent content but little bit east Texas amateur hour.
Gypsy. Jace isn't quite as cool as he thinks he is.
MXA- Josh Mosiman turned stale Jodycross into something really relevant and great.
No thanks
Hopper Not funny, not appealing. The guy just sucks.
Honorable mention, "Racing Jack" Has decent content and great access but wish the guy knew who the riders who aren't Jett or Deegs were and what was going on.
MXlarge - I like to keep up with what’s going on at home .
MXA - I’m in my late 50’s and it’s still got a Jody vibe .
Vital - for the pit bits & once in a thousand posts in the forum someone actually says something worth digesting .
I don’t listen / watch any interviews etc, if I can’t read it I’m out. I’ll watch 450 main highlights and MXGP highlights that’s it.
LvK and MXGP Pods with Lewis 100 % of the time cos he is our boy
Pit Bits 100%
Pulp Show 40% maybe, depending on guests
Like the written stuff , but get why its maybe harder work .
Zero print media, or any MX You Tube content, other than Livestreaming.
Follow 30 or so good feeds on X, and relevant stuff to British MX on FB / X/Instagram.
UK based, 60 yo, had a 15 year collection of MXA and Dirt Bike from 76-91.
Vital. The forum is head and shoulders above any other outlet for breaking news. The long-form content like Pit Bits, season previews, etc. are extremely enjoyable and the only thing I read. The post-race show is insightful and concise. Sometimes I'd like a little more analysis, but ML and Lewis hit on all of the major topics.
Personally, I don't have the attention span (or time) for 3-hour Pulpcasts or similar. If someone particularly interesting is on, I'll listen. Same goes for Gypsy.
We Went Fast is good for some moto history articles. Same for Tony Blazier. Occasionally they'll share something online and I'll read the article. It's not something I check in on regularly like I do here.
I haven't received any form of print mag, moto or otherwise, since at least 2018. They all became regurgitations of stuff already posted online.
Vital forum
YouTube.
“What we’ve learned”
Hunter/Jett race videos
If it’s worth hearing about, it’s posted on the forum. I let it parse out the interesting stuff since their is a over saturation of content across all channels/mediums.
Only vital and whiskey throttle for me. Just don’t really allow myself the time to go down all the other rabbit holes.😁
I don't like videos for the most part, prefer to read so racer X and vital write-ups. I also listen to podcasts but drive a lot less now for my job so it takes me a week to do a full pulp show.
MXGP Pit bits.
Even though he is sensitive about this. Lewis can drive me and everyone CRAZY with his constant anti Tomac takes. But he is someone that I now trust. Not much substance from anyone else. Matthes and his Pulp thing is just a week after week watered down show that has no more passion. And Matthes is a typical DB. Delt with him over 100s of times. He's just a creep of a human. And everyone on the inside jokes about it. Team Lewis
