It Should be Bloody Brilliant!

Major changes, New additions.

I'll be trying to find as many streams of these as possible, and, I have No Problem with paying to do so - I pay through the nose for MXGP and the US Series as it is, so, being  a cheap skate, well, I'm Not.

I really hope all get through into the GPs Healthy. And, through them.

I've no real favourite(s) , but do lean a bit toward Tiga - he's such a top bloke / such an incredible talent (well, as they all are) .

Both he and Herlings are taking on a Big change / challenge, after so, so many years on the one brand, respectively.

I do like Romain - he may be a bit Grumpy, but he always seems to be ignored, or, put down by so many. To get his second title 10 years after his first, shows a sh**load of determination / endurance.

I do wonder how Vialle will go with his return to GPs.🤔 Good luck to him!

No doubt there will be streams from the Italian races, which i think are £5 a round .

There will be loads of links for a free Stream for Hawkstone, all of which will be scams, there are no plans for it to be streamed, it never has been , and they are keen for it not to be streamed. And if it was going to be, i would be doing it.

Like 2 years ago I thought the Coenens and De Wolf would have followed Prado into the US by now and that Herlings/Febvre would have maybe be retired at this point. Vialle going back to MXGP also wasn't on my bingo card.
Now we have Gajser, Herlings, Lucas, Vialle, De Wolf, Febvre, Renaux and even Adamo in the 450 class.
I honestly think I wasn't this excited for the 450 MXGP class in a long ass time. This has to be the most stacked season since at least 2015. This is gonna get good.

This one is fantastic but 2021 was also unbelievable. Let's hope this season is as good.

Could Hawkstone hold a GP if teams used their fly away kits instead of the transporters ?

No doubt 450 class is insane. Hope most or all can stay healthy , its a stacked field for sure.

I really don't think the track is up to it now. The last GP held there was in 2009 which was an MX3 GP along with the EMX250 class and it was the best I'd seen that track in years and since. It was a hell of a GP with Herlings and Roczen riding 250's (I think Roczen made his GP debut a couple of weeks later?). Saying that, if someone can throw money at Foxhill to get it GP ready, then no reason why the same can't be done for Hawkstone. My opinion is that the current track layout is not very good at all and could be so much better.

Access to the track would be a major issue.

True. The lane to the track is not great and residents are less likely to put up with the traffic now than previously. But if the teams used fly away kit and their team vans rather than transporters and rigs, that would help the solution.....possibly

A bit off topic but does anyone know if Valkenswaard still hold races? Local amateur races, etc....?

I'm a volunteer at Axel (NL) and we had a meeting with the KNMV (Dutch Federation) secretary last week. A lot of points were discussed, including some small talk about the GP's. Valkenswaard is still working hard on permits currently. There are a few races a year and it's limited open for training. To get the GP back again will probably take a few more years, but there is still a chance. Their big plus is that the community around the area is mostly positive towards having a track there. The events are very benificial for restaurants, bars, hotels/motels nearby. There are only a few people against the track actually.

Re a GP at Hawkstone, I was told that it’s the sanction fee that is the problem. Access, infrastructure etc are all resolvable, but not the Infront $$.

I love Axel, raced there last year. Thanks for making such a great facility.

No, Alghero on the westcoast of Sardinia. Herlings and Vialle will be lining up at Mantova a week later.

There will be loads of links for a free Stream for Hawkstone, all of which will be scams, there are no plans for it to be streamed, it never has been , and they are keen for it not to be streamed. And if it was going to be, i would be doing it.

I don’t think the teams would ever agree to that to begin with, but I don’t think Hawkstone could deal with hosting a GP now anyway.

The access compared to Matterley or even Foxhills is horrendous. The track is in the middle of a single track country lane, and once you get that far there are two farm tracks to actually get into the track. It would be absolutely carnage trying to get a GP crowd in and out of there

I was there at the event, i havent missed one in years.

But obviously i am wrong LOL.  I might watch that later on.

Anyway , as is stands now , there are no plans for it to be streamed, as far as i am aware, the first round of the Motul British Championship will be, a month later, but this one will not be.

It 'could' run one normally , but i honestly lose sleep about getting in and out with my camper, if you meet someone in the wrong place you are screwed , whichever way you come in.

I almost took the roof and rear corner off last year trying squeeze into a space to let some retard taxi driver through.

Canada Heights is almost as bad to be fair ,  but they run one way system there usually , whereas at Hawkstone they dont .
