Stewart is faster than Dungey, if he has been racing the whole season.

Dungey just makes NO mistakes, and is a very smooth and consistent rider.

Bubba rides like he has whiskey throttle the whole damn race and hopes for the best =D

So in the long run, Dungey would probably finish higher in a seasons standings than Bubba, because consistency > pin it to win it. Unless of course Bubba decides he wants to go 24-0 again. =P

Brooks has always had the mentality that a full season of racing takes too much of a toll on a rider, and the majority of that beating being the outdoor rounds. I happen to agree and think it is a great way to extend a career and really race when it counts money wise.

Yes RV was a monster in the lites class no doubt. BUT Dungey has 2 titles in the premier class in his first go and RV has O out of a possible 4 titles he could have won. Edge Dungey. Should be great racing between them this year though all petty arguements aside. Just my opinion but seems like RD's flawless smooth style suits the 450 better and he will continue to get faster. He's getting better while his competition is sitting on the couch injured

So right. I also strongly believe RV is the fastest outdoors, including Bubba, but he needs to prove it otherwise the #1 plate rules.

They won't. All SX-only teams imply that they will race selected outdoors and they never do.

If they let him, I bet Regal will try to find a way to do them. The guy has privateered it two entire seasons already and done amazingly well.

It would be a shame if Regal didn't do the whole outdoor series at this point in his career. Let's hope he finds a way to get it done.

I don't know any more than anyone else, but a team hiring Regal and then going SX only would be like a team in 2000 hiring McGrath and then going outdoors only...

Past history may dictate that, but things change. I hope all the top dogs are healthy, and give us a season to remember.

With the track building, current speed of the bikes and all the recent injuries, it seems highly unlikely we'll have a season with all the top riders competing.

disagree ...not everyone has. Long career like is and last year as an example if the sx only riders get hurt early to mid season we don't see them for almost a year physically it might keep them fresh longer but with new riders hitting the scene year after year the sx only guys will eventually be overlooked right around the time they would normally retire after racing both series every year .... IMO
