Beta - Fill in?

What will Beta do with both riders out with broken bones?

Does Beta have the budget to do so? Does the team have any requirements to having racers lining up?

Someone’s gotta know something….or at least make it up and sound good doing it.

I’ll say it before some one else does just to get it out of the way.

I think John Short filled in for them before, maybe call him up again.

No he’s unavailable, he’s busy waiting for a better opportunity to materialize.

Jeremy Hand he can make it in and he’s good outdoors. Also a pretty durable rider. Can’t remember him ever being hurt

Enzo Lopes could be a good one, assuming he gels with the bike, he should be able to get it into the main.

I have heard they already were reaching out for a replacing for bloss. So I would assume so. Just pay Chiz, he can be a major help in development for them

Half of those riders are already on teams. Why would Breece or Politelli quit their current job to race on likely worse equipment?

Race SX for a factory team > try to kill each other in AX

Soubeyras would be interesting. Would also love to see Jago Geerts do it, but don't think the MXGP team will allow it.

Economically, I don’t see how it’s possible. It’s not like they are suddenly not paying Blose and Oldenburg, so they would have to find money for two more riders? What they save in travel costs and expendables can go to keeping the team salaries intact during this off time.

I bet those two are making more in their current gigs than they would if they jumped ship to beta

I can’t argue with that. They’re both battling for the AX championship so it makes sense not to leave. There’s other riders out there that would likely be a better fit too. But it’s also hard for me to think if you’re given an opportunity to ride for a factory team you don’t pass up the opportunity to ride for a factory team. Whole different playing field than any bike they’ve ever ridden in SX.

Wait just one moment. You didn't list profesh... Oh yeah they don't have a 125.

Seriously though, I'm sure the sponsers want bikes and their names on the track, but do factories want their bikes tooling around in 17th place?

Yeah, which is crazy to me.  Do these ambassadors actually sell product?  I could see local ambassadors who get a deal to drive locals markets, but is RV actually selling Yamahas or MC Kawi's?  I guess they must be for damn near every OEM to have one.

Jumping to a factory team isn’t everything everyone expects. And honestly, is beta a factory team?

Not to be disagreeable,  but but when Oldenburg talks about not taking chances because he has a family to feed....doesn't that mean he doesn't get paid if he gets hurt?

As far as fill in rides...why not one or both of the Gardner brothers? Osborne....?

I like the idea of Cedric getting a go.

But, like nearly every rider suggested, I / we don't know his / their (contractual - if they have one) situations.

Cedric has been around for a while - I first learnt of him when he was 'tilting at windmills' in the GPs on a 250 2 stroke. So, it got my attention / admiration.

He did fairly well in the WSX races, so he's pretty competent indoors, still.

As someone suggested, Short might fit in quickly - if he's available?

I think it means that he would have a hard time providing for his family if he was permanently disabled.

beta probably doesn’t have a clause to have 2 riders out there like if they were sponsored by monster or Red Bull. Heck, as deep as the field was, it would be tough for even Benny and Mitch to make mains consistently.
