Bring on outdoors.

Thats what I picked up on immediately in his heat race. Putting the bike wherever he wanted, whipping, scrubbing. I hardly expect him to be a podium threat every race this race but that was a great ride. Hes obviously got what it takes to be successful in sx. I hope this result builds confidence but not overconfidence. He got a nice podium but was almost 30sec back from Eli and Kenny. Dont start riding over your head, dont push to try and get a podium every race. He needs, NEEDS, to finish every round this year. Some races might be a 12th. Hes not winning the title. Imagine how good he could be this year with the experience of last year under his belt?

Nice ride for him for sure. I’m glad to see him improve so much as it will add more competition to the class.

This guy is going to get great starts! Any of the guys in the top 8 are similar in speed(other than a few) and I think he can hold on for a bunch of top 5's and some podiums. I think he will finish the season top 5.

That’s all on Hunter. Your statements a joke. When Eli passed for the lead Hunter was on Prados rear wheel & Prado left him to deal with the Suzukis

he's an arrogant Nancy as far as i'm concerned .............but was good to see him being humble on the podium............so props to him.

Well, 2nd in qualifying and the heat is pretty good tbh. Sure the main didn't go well but i think that is to be expected at this point in time when he gets a bad start. Prado has always been bad at coming through the pack in his career and that will only be even more evident in a SX environment.

People directly in front of the Prado in the 13th.
RJ

Past Champion Web.

Prado still has a podium

People still behind a 2008 RMZ 450,  everyone but Eli.

He did exactly what you’d expect with a bad start being new to sx and knowing his strengths are good starts and riding from the front.

Anyway, carry on it’ll

Be a long season for everyone lol

Maybe Prado was tired from everyone being on their knees for him all week

Daniel Blair was right (kinda).  Said his next podium would be at Daytona.

Some of the Prado tools in here defending a 13th after blowing him all week like he was a championship contender.

The bike is under powered, the team will get it sorted for him....NOT....

Short of bringing him his works bike nothing is going to help.

He was down nearly 30 seconds at the end of A1 main to the top 2, he benefitted greatly from the other riders having mishaps.  Prado is going to be out of the top 5 most of the year and maybe outside of the top 10 like this weekend....... JMO

Man some of you guys are going to be proven wrong. The dude has always been bad in traffic, which will obviously be even worse in a SX environment (8th SX race ever). Fortunately he is one of, if not the best starter ever. So the start that he got in SD will be one of very few bad starts.

If he’s always been bad in traffic, good luck getting every start to prove people wrong

Would have been more than 8 sx races if he wouldn't have been so ungrateful to the team that backed him. Kawi wouldn't even have him on the bike for the final 3 rounds. A bike Chase just showed was a heck of a lot faster with him on it than Prado on it.

Can't come through traffic, good luck with that in the USA.  He is going to have to learn how to come through traffic real fast(Chase didn't have any problem on a bike Prado bagged on)....... Or will he just make more excuses and rag on the team that backed him?

I’m impressed. What was tonight,7-8th sx ever? He will be a threat from here on thru outdoors if healthy.

His conduct professionally (whether you agree with it or not) on Kawasaki is one thing, how he's riding now is another. It's pointless for people imo, even if they hate Jorge, to be looking at this in a 'karma' kinda way. He's either riding significantly better on a different bike or he isn't.

If we look at his results, his riding now, in a vacuum, in class this deep with his experience - then he's doing remarkably well.  I mean seriously, let's be honest, he's done fantastic so far..

The guy literally has less than a single seasons worth of races under his belt. But the bigger thing again is how he looks on the bike generally. He looks nothing, absolutely nothing like he did last year.

Not to get ahead of ourselves of course but as of now it's difficult to not imagine him in the thick of the points outdoors where he is traditionally comfortable (injury potential aside), come crunch time at Ironman etc many months from now.
