Thanks for that - I guessed they might have another Helmholtz chamber on the LH side, in addition to the fairly long one on the RH side, with the longer header they've put on, going 'outside' of the frame.
Interesting stuff.
Gajser looks amazing in this:

Gajser and the bike needs to be on point from MXGP-Race one, otherwise you will get the same talk about Yamaha that you've now about Kawasaki in the USA. And indeed he looks good on the bike, same goes for Renaux but the question is also, how fast are the bikes.
That bike looks like a tank.

I think the plan for Evans in 2025 was to do the full ADAC masters and a couple of wildcard GPs. But he got injured pretty quickly and it ended his season. I have not heard anything about his 2026 plans.
Interesting! Just saw the EMX 250 entries on wikipedia and basically that reeeally good EMX125's top10 has moved up!
Alvisi, Faure, Mantovani, Mannini, Kublins, Bellei, Bervoets, Katona, McCullough, Van Mechgelen
It was a blast to follow the 2025 125 class last year because of these guys! Shame the 250s are not 2 strokes hehe
Not infos onHeitink so far - Pini and Utech will do another year in the 125cc
(LOADS of italians eh)
Heitink and Gregoire will both/togheter be on the new Nestaan Husky EMX250 team.
Emx250 allows 2 stroke. Beta will enter an official team with Fueri and Rispoli on their 250 2 stroke.
Salvador Perez, who won 2 EMX125 races in 2024 and had a tough year for the RFME team in EMX250 in 2025, has signed for Yamaha to race in Brazil this season. Seems that more and more riders are choosing Brazil as an option
Julius Mikula confirmed with Osička MX Team for the entire MX2-season, including overseas.
What bike will he be on ?

The official OAT list just got released by Infront. Positive development is that we have 25 riders over 16 teams in MXGP that will race the complete calendar. Unfortunately only 16 riders over 14 teams will do the full season in MX2 which is very thin, ouch. WZ Racing and BTS KTM are not longer on the OAT list, so not sure if we will see them back at all or for only the European rounds.
Pit Row
No more question mark for Bud Racing Kawasaki.
25 in mxgp doing fly away races would be pretty good.
I think we had like 21 in mx2 last year after the riley/haas & oliver/bts deals fell through. 16 is really weak.
Thanks to the "famous" under-23 rule...
I was totally off with my Valin to KTM in 2026, does that mean he’ll move into KTM for 2027 maybe? As KTM their 250 line up is getting smaller and smaller and Valin might be the next big thing for the MX2 class?
16 is a disaster. MX2 is really, really weak at the moment. Just think about it, the series cannot line up a full SX gate at a fly-away race with 100% of the field being healthy.
What was your source on this one?
🤔
It's a joke and not worth calling a world championship in the MX2. How can Infront be okay with that?
EMX250 is killing the GP MX2 class, they need to do something about it.
They made the EMX way to important and to many rounds. Its just a feeder en learning class, but the way they en the teams go about it, its a real business thing and thats just wrong way and killing the GP class.
Hopefully we get another bar burning in MX2 for the title, other wise it will be a “mwah i will get some food or visit the paddock class”
Agree. Too much good riders are doing the european MX2 championship instead of the MX2 world championship.
Fortunately, there will be more MX2 riders behind the gate on all european rounds...
EMX250 is killing the EUR rounds for MX2. But i have a hard time listing 5 rider/team combo's from EMX250 that have the budget and speed to actually do the full MX2 championship.
The problem is bigger then just emx250. There isnt enough money in the European MX industry to fund guys like Walvoort do overseas trips.
Speed is never a problem. But budget is...
