I emailed the seller, apparently it was left in the barn from the previous owners of the property that they acquired. I asked for better pics and vin#, and they say they're out of the state this week and can't provide either.

Looks like an '03+ 450 or 520 EXC, the 18" rear wheel looks like new, the rest of the bike looks like a mess?

I'd say stolen. "we are out of the state" "we are out of the state" Who puts a motorcycle on ebay when they are leaving the state? Sounds like BS.

Yeaaaaaa we dont have the vin,,or even know where it is at. But we sure know how to use that rear wheel stand that was laying in the barn. She was hotter than a two dollar pistol she was the fastest thing around,,long and lean every young mans dream, she turned every head in town.......

I wrote this in a question to the seller ......"Do you have the title/bill of sale? If not will you be willing to sign a paper saying the bike was purchased from you with the VIN# and mileage and pirce/date on it? Sincerely, Dave (Looking to get a fixer upper for my nephew.)"

A VIN check would tell you if it was stolen.

No you dumbass he won't do that. Did you read the ebay ad? It says the bike was left in the barn by the previous house owners so he obviously does not have a "title/bill of sale".

Just because you guys think it is stolen, it doesn't mean it is. I mean people do leave ratted out bikes in barns and people do go out of state (possible emergency, work related, etc.).

I live about 15 min from New Castle, his phone number is local so I'd assume it's legit. Still looks like a POS though. Looks like someone rattle canned it...

A friend of mine did this when he bought a used bike from an old man.

My friend spent a lot of money on that KX250 making it really functional.

One day coming back from the track he gets pulled over for a burnt out taillight and the cops run the VIN and the bike was stolen like 6 years early all of the way across the country. They impounded it and he got nothing.

If you can legally apply for a missing title that is fine but otherwise you are contributing to the stolen bike game.
