Saw Malcolm Stewart...

Malcom is to big and weighs too much. He will not do very well what so ever IMO. I wish him luck however and love to see stacked fields. I really don't see anyone from this last years amateur A class doing well. Anderson is also a bit of a big kid and with all the talent out there, they will be fighting from the back. Tomac is real good and he struggled a bit and he would absolutely demolish these guys before he turned pro after Oak Hill.

JSR, have you seen him lately? When I saw him on Tuesday, he looked a LOT different than any time I'd seen him in the past.

Didn't James say something to the effect of Malcom needs to learn that he is not going to be the next James Stewart? Or he needs to learn that he is not James Stewart? Something like that. It's pretty bad when your own brother throws you under the bus. That either means you are in fact a douche bag with an attitude problem who doesn't have what it takes or your brother is just a dick. I wonder which it is?

Or what James meant to say was that Malcolm needs to be his own man and not try to live up to the pressure of being James brother.. But instead focus on himself?

I'd have to correct you and say the fastest indoors. I don't think James ever beat Ricky straight up outdoors....Ricky's throttle always seemed to twist further than anyone's outdoors. Turbo

TeamPropainTurbo38, James did beat RC "straight up" outdoors.

It's good to see that Malcolm is making his own way. I think that he will be faster than many think. If he can avoid rookie mistakes I think he will be fine. That's just MHO.

If you ask me I think he has more of a chance than most AM guys turning pro, Cause his older brother has had the SX track at his house for years and years, And that's gonna be a solid advantage to him. Cause I always here guys saying that adapting to sx is pretty hard.

He beat him a few times , they were comparable as far as pure speed outdoors. James clearly had his number in SX. Good to see Malcolm on a Suzuki.

He was at the Mini O's over Thanksgiving when I saw him last. Not at all trying to throw the kid under the bus or Anderson. They are both very talented, but you know all are very fast and talented at that level. They both are just big kids in general and no matter what power to weight ratio comes into play. Especially on the starts and in supercross. I obviously am wrong about a lot of stuff and will continue to be, JMO based on watching them race and observation. I do think Malcom in particular would be much better served on a 450 because of this. Good luck to all the kids. I am look forward the great battles and racing. We all have our favorites, but I would like to just see all the kids stay healthy and have a barn burner season. I'm an Oklahoma guy, so Trey Canard is who i will be rooting for. I think that Dungey is going to be real tough though. His program is just flat out working great to say the least. He did have a change in his program and one to not take lightly with Roger leaving. WE will have to see how that effects Suzuki. I will be rooting for Geico Honda and TLD in the Lites, plus Dean Wilson.

Christian Craig before the injury was very fast and I hope he is physically doing well and it he has returned to form, he can be a threat. He is the other last amateur A class rider I saw that flat out had the same type of speed that Dean Wilson had. He can do very well. I am waiting on Justin Bogle to make the jump.

James never beat RC straight up outdoors for a championship.

James only beat RC straight up outdoors twice

Good, him, Davalos, and Morais were riding. I didn't have a stopwatch (i really need to start carrying one all the time) but just from watching he looks very comfy and seems to have everything dialed. Certain sections he has some ridiculous speed. Then kinda calm in others
There is a cell phone app that has a very functional stop watch built in w/ lap timer, total times laps, memory, comparisons, sections etc...

"you are who you hang around"

Why do Moto dads line there kids up to practice with faster kids.

This is why Malcolm will smoke many this season.

He threw Malcolm under the bus? That's the conclusion you jump to? Malcolm is a douche bag or his brother is a dick? I think what he said was " I think Malcolm has a hard time realizing he is not going to be the next James Stewart " Maybe he was just being honest and stating a fact. You know " telling it like it is ". I guess you are just one of those dudes who feels like he needs to call riders names, a douche bag or a dick. I wonder which it is?

It was smart to sign Malcom - the team sponsors will get good pub since he is the little brother and all.

Hope he does well.

When did the word Championship come up in the initial statement? You also seem to forget that James was injured most of the 2006 outdoor season.

Either way, the only reason that I said something is because there is always some asshole looking to down James, even though he is one of the most successful racers of all time.

I don't think that he wants to be or thinks that he is the second coming of James Stewart. There are a lot of people here that know that first hand too, but they won't admit it.

i dont think he ever beat him in any championship(indoor or out)...unless you count that canada world thingy which ironically RC beat Stewart in Canada that year...it was the actual first time James was beat indoors without going down even though poto seattle 09 gets all the credit-

James did change the arch of jumping with his scrubs (saving time...much like MC changed the speed of the sport before him- RC brought full on speed and fitness into it and always seemed alble to raise the bar to whatever level the comp could bring...including sir James scrubby speed and vicous corners -IMO

Oh yeah..I hopoe MALCOLM does really well and makes a name for himself-

I think the fact that Malcolm has turned out fast as hell without really trying that hard says a lot for his potential.

Of course he will always be compared with his brother, but he'll be good enough to earn a lot of respect for himself.

Just a little fyi jsr racing. To enter into the supercross class full time you must have a minimum number of points to accumulated in the lites. That is why every great out there has lites titles.
Malcolm has lost like 50 pounds and he now weighs about 180.
Jason anderson is a tall kid but does not weigh close to that. Look at what Milsaps did on the lites. No it wont be easy on them but they will be fine.
No James didnt throw Malcolm under the bus. Malcolm also knows that he isnt James. Also like others have said is that he wants to be known as Malcolm.
