Happy holidays to ya.

You're getting beat almost 2:1. You better start putting up some brick house eye candy to catch up.

I 100% believe the DOJ and DEA (and many other alphabet agencies) under Biden (and others) was/were/are still corrupt. You only have to look at how they went after Trump to see that on full display. We now know that the Fanni case was collaborated with DOJ (Illegal), The #2 guy at DOJ left to be part of the NY trial against Trump. And I would not be surprised to find collaboration with the cartels to get rid of an impediment to trafficking out of the way. Is that what happened? I don't know, but I'm not believing one side is any less corrupt in this case. And with Trumps history of being targeted by a corrupt DOJ, I believe he finds it very easy to believe it's happened to others that The Biden regime got resistance from. Hypothetically, with the support from the people in his country, if you wanted to get rid of him, this is the only way short of introducing him to Hillary Clinton for a more permanent solution. It's hard to argue that his country was worse off after he was in office. He also motivated other countries to work with the US to stop trafficking. Ask yourself, why would he want more US intervention to stop trafficking if he was the one trafficking?  Everything about this case makes NO sense. Unless you believe the DOJ has zero corruption. I think we can rule that one out. If nothing else, you can't be 100% for one side or the other on this one.

The basic premise you’re saying is that if Trump says something it absolutely factual.   😂

Once again you cease to amaze me.

You can have whatever doubts you want, but both Trump and Hernández got indicted by a grand jury’s saying there was enough evidence to prosecute by randomly picked grand jury’s. Then they both lost in a trial by a Jury that both Trump’s and Hernandez’s attorneys approved of and helped pick.

At what point are you going to realize that you’re believing and stick up for a total fraud and conman!  Nothing about Donald Trump is patriotic and America first. 🤦

This is exactly why Trump said “ he loves the poorly educated “

Yes!  I was saddled with flugelhorn duties for a semester in HS. Was like transitioning from lead guitar to bass.  Yeah, it’s a nice tone, but didn’t draw in the chicks!  Like playing in the HS band EVER drew in chicks….

I got transitioned to playing the sousaphone for graduation ceremony because our couple sousaphone guys were graduating. Our band instructor in an attempt to get me to switch permanent told me he could get me a full ride scholarship by doing so. I had no desire. But we moved a year later and haven't touch a trumpet since (almost 50 years ago). I was once listening to an interview with Eddie VanHalen and he said something that struck home. He said he couldn't read sheet music. And I realized I'm the same, I could replicate what I heard, but could not visualize in my head what the sheet should sound like. Sounds dumb right?

I have a buddy who never played guitar in his life, but his dad did. When he was about 16 he picked up a guitar and could play it.

Like almost anything, mastering musical skills requires talent. My oldest son has perfect pitch, can read treble & bass, knows the “Nashville Notes” system, and can play almost any song on guitar or bass if he knows what key it’s in.  He also plays cello and has played 20+ minute sections w/o referencing the sheet music. It’s actually kinda freaky.

Guys like EVH have both talent and an ear for writing great songs; reading music wasn’t required. But for most musicians it’s a necessity unless backed by a team of professional songwriters.

I think Trumpets is a better title for his supporters, his little cheer squad the Trumpets!

I didn’t vote in 2024 because of how the democrats handled that shit show and I can’t stomach a vote for Trump.  He’s a steaming pile of garbage. Again this is what the Trumpets don’t understand. You can dislike Trump and not be a hardcore democrat. It’s actually pretty easy.

Republicans like to say democrats are the party of hate and vitriol. Fine whatever there is bad actors on both sides.  What is trump doing to bring the country back together?  He has the loudest voice in the land and he blames democrats for EVERYTHING. Yea that will do a lot to bring a divided country together.

It’s also just a sign of a weak man. Blaming everyone but himself.  Now we are going to be dragged into a conflict with Venezuela that nobody wants under the guise of drugs but it’s really about oil. Sound familiar to anything about 20 years ago?

I believe we are experiencing the theory of Glubbs Cycle in this country right now.

On the Daily show they took quotes from back before the Iraq war and  now talking about Venezuela. And they had politicians saying almost the same things word for word.  Giving reasons to justify going to wr or whatever You want to define it as.

Crazy how many similarities they were able to find.  Sure looks like the same thing to me.

I have a customer with a family that is well off that invests in currency from foreign countries among other stuff.  They will go and get cash in whatever countries currency and  wait for it to go back up. They do it in areas that are at war , hoping they get a big return after the war ends.  He told me about one of the countries that they were able to make 10 or more times their money back , it was a while ago that he told me the story so I don't remember the exact amounts but it was a very impressive amount . That was a while back.

I'm glad that there seem to be more and more people waking up to how politicians are  helping divide and get us all to argue with each other instead of being united and holding them accountable for more.

I'm always surprised at how many people think that anything political can be so simple as they make it out to be. Like you are either a hardcore Trump lover that hates Dem's , or hardcore Liberal that hates Trump.   Those might make up 30% of either party and then the majority of voters are not so black and white simple when it comes down to their votes. They vary who they vote for and like and dislike stuff  from both parties.  There are great people and really bad people in both parties.

Yea the parallels are hard to deny. There are so republicans that come across my feeds that I quite enjoy listening to. The ones who seem to cut through the BS and get to the meat of the issues. Hawley is one of them.  Massie is another. James Talarico is a democrat that I think has a great way of cutting through the BS as well.

This rich family are they buying Venezuelan currency currently?

I haven't seen them in a while , but I wouldn't be surprised if they were. It fits with the other things they said. Buying into the currency when a war begins and its at the lowest  and the country having a lot of oil.  If Venezuelan currency is very weak now , I haven't looked.  They look at the long-term and if its likely that the US and other countries will invest in rebuilding. With Venezuela having so much oil , it also seems similar to what they look at.

The kid gets in and out of racing , so sometimes I won't hear from them for a  year or 2.  If they come in anytime soon I'll see what they are saying and post back here.

Cool story bro

This one time on acid all the keys on a piano made perfect sense and worked in harmony with each other. Fun while it lasted, but I'll stick to bass.

I played the trombone

Baritone mostly, some cornet/trumpet/tuba. Stopped after 9th grade, though. It just wasn’t something that I enjoyed enough to want to plan my entire class schedule around I guess.

Our Jr High band instructor was a great teacher, though, and being in his classes made it worthwhile just to listen to the types of music that he would play us. Like probably most band instructors of that era, he was a big fan of rock music that included brass and wind instruments so he ‘indoctrinated’ us with Chicago and Jethro Tull at early ages!!!

Can’t say that I’m a big fan of Hawley, but I don’t think he’s horrible either. Same with Massie, but I envy Massie’s courage to stand up for what he believes is right, especially when it comes to things that congresspeople are usually pressured to ‘toe the party line’ on. We all think that we’d do that ourselves but it’s much harder done than said, especially at that level of scrutiny.

I think that Talarico is going to be a presidential candidate for 2032 or, more likely, 2036. He has a pretty good chance at the Senate seat next year, and his calm, rational style could really make him a favorite for the less pure partisan voters who lean a little either way. He’s not really been a messenger of hate or division so far, and I hope that his style becomes more appealing to voters sooner rather than later. I sort of wish that I’d still be in Texas to vote for him next year!

Yea Talarico seems to get it, and I think you might be correct about his future potential as a candidate.  I like the fact he knows there should be a clear separation of church and state even though he’s very religious himself.

Shit just hit the fan in Venezuela’s capital city of Caracas early Saturday morning.

Low-flying aircraft were seen flying over Caracas at about 2 a.m. local time on Saturday, according to The Associated Press. Fox News also reporting 7 explosions in Caracas.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a Notice to Air Missions at 1 a.m. EST on Saturday prohibiting all U.S. aircraft from operating "at all altitudes within Venezuelan airspace."

Good job CIA,FBI and the U.S. Military. Glad for the wonderful good people of Venezuela.

Maduro will be in prision for the rest of his, hopefully short, life. I wonder how many shoes his wife has ...

Exactly.

He was nothing more than a massive cartel leader.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Definitely not a legitimate leader of a nation, or its people.

Hilarious hours after his soiree with chinese diplomats that he was ousted.

Mexican cartels should be a piece of cake then, if it's all about drugs and not oil 🤣

Well, let’s hope that the DOJ assigns real prosecutors to this case. If this were to be thrown out or if he were to be acquitted, what would be the outcome on the world stage?  Now that we’ve done this, would we support another country’s right to do this sort of action against Netanyahu, for example?

And back to the original post of the thread, why are we pardoning major drug traffickers while doing this with the excuse of combating drug trafficking?

Removing Maduro creates a vacuum which I assume (hope) the administration anticipated.  Who is in charge of Venezuela?  What is the Venezuelan military’s position?  It’s a great headline but the rest of the page is blank.  Hopefully the long-term plan gets released today.
